Hands #82–86: Altman Jams

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Brian Altman
Brian Altman

Hand #82: Scott Wellenbach raised to 250,000 on the button with {K-Spades}{10-Clubs} and Daniel Strelitz jammed the small blind with {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} for 2,480,000. Chino Rheem in the big blind asked for a count with {4-Spades}{4-Clubs} and folded, as did Wellenbach.

"Pocket threes again?" Pavel Veksler said and Rheem replied he had pocket fours.

Hand #83: Rheem limped with {K-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Brian Altman on the big blind squeezed to 400,000 with {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}, Rheem called. The flop brought {5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and that paired up Rheem to take the lead, he checked and Altman checked behind.

On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Rheem bet 400,000 and Altman stared him down before making the call. The {Q-Hearts} came on the river and both players checked, Rheem claimed the pot.

Hand #84: Rheem raised to 225,000 on the button with {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Altman jammed the small blind with the {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}, no call followed.

Hand #85: Pavel Veksler raised the small blind with {10-Spades}{4-Spades} and Vicent Bosca called in the big blind with {8-Hearts}{3-Hearts}. The flop brought {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and a bet of 250,000 did the trick to win the pot for Veksler.

Hand #86: Veksler raised the button to 200,000 with {8-Spades}{7-Hearts} and Wellenbach flat-called in the big blind with {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}. The flop came {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and Wellenbach checked, then called a continuation bet of 175,000 by Veksler. Both checked the {7-Diamonds} turn and the {3-Spades} river, Wellenbach claimed the pot.

Vicent Bosca

Hand #77: Pavel Veksler raised to 200,000 from under the gun with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Brian Altman defended {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The {8-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop brought nothing for Altman and he folded to a bet of 160,000.

Hand #78: Chino Rheem raised up {K-Spades}{4-Spades} on the button to 225,000 and picked up the blinds.

Hand #79: In the small blind, Veksler raised to 300,000 with {Q-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Vicent Bosca folded {J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} with ease.

Hand #80: Altman made it 220,000 to go with {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} in the cutoff. Bosca had {2-Spades}{2-Clubs} on the button and shoved all in for 2,075,000. Scott Wellenbach considered it with {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} in the small blind but folded, and Altman folded as well.

Hand #81: Bosca made it 220,000 on the button with {Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} and Daniel Strelitz bought a flop with {8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} in the big blind. Strelitz check-folded to a 150,000 bet on the {5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop.

Hands #73-76: Bosca Patiently Nurses Short Stack

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hand #73: Chino Rheem raised to 200,000 with the {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} in the cutoff and Vicent Bosca defended the {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs} in the big blind. On the {K-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Bosca check-folded to a bet of 300,000.

Hand #74: Pavel Veksler opened the button to 160,000 with {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Bosca shoved in the small blind for 1,675,000 with {K-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Wellenbach folded a suited ace-rag and Veksler also quickly released his cards.

Hand #75: Rheem made it 200,000 to go with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} under the gun and Bosca on the button gave it some thought with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} but ended up folding. Scott Wellenbach and Daniel Strelitz folded out of the blinds and Rheem scooped the pot.

Hand #76: Bosca in the cutoff raised to 160,000 with {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Rheem called from the big blind with {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}.

"Enjoy your break guys, we might come back with one less player," Rheem joked. On the {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop, Rheem checked and instantly folded to Bosca's bet of 150,000.

Right after the hand, the players were sent on their first 20-minute break of the day.

Hands #68–72: Strelitz With A Backdoor

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Daniel Strelitz
Daniel Strelitz

Hand #68: Daniel Strelitz raised to 160,000 from under the gun with {Q-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Pavel Veksler picked up {J-Spades}{9-Spades} on the button and checked how much Strelitz had before calling.

The dealer spread an action flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and Strelitz checked. Veksler bet 135,000 with top two pair and Strelitz called with his straight draw. The {A-Hearts} on the turn added a flush draw for Strelitz and he checked and Veksler checked behind.

The {8-Hearts} river completed Strelitz' backdoor flush draw. With the second nuts, he bet 425,000. Veksler had a displeased look on his face and used a time bank card before folding.

Hand #69: Scott Wellenbach raised to 320,000 from the small blind with {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Strelitz also had a nine-six, the {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, and called. Wellenbach flopped a flush draw on {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and easily took it with a bet of 400,000.

Hand #70: Brian Altman came in with a raise to 160,000 from under the gun with {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Chino Rheem called from the bg blind with {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The flop was {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Altman won it with 150,000.

Hand #71: Wellenbach raised to 200,000 from the cutoff with {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Altman defended {7-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. Wellenbach continued with 300,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and Altman folded.

Hand #72: Strelitz picked up a monster with {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} and raised to 160,000 in the cutoff. Rheem called {K-Spades}{6-Spades} on the button.

The {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop got quickly checked by both players. Strelitz bet 250,000 on the {8-Diamonds} turn and Rheem gave it up.

Hands #63–67: Strelitz Remains Active

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hand #63: Chino Rheem opened under the gun with {J-Clubs}{7-Clubs} to 200,000 and Pavel Veksler flat-called in the cutoff with {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. Scott Wellenbach called in the small blind with {K-Spades}{9-Spades} and Daniel Strelitz in the big blind with {6-Spades}{5-Spades} made it four-ways to the {K-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop.

Wellenbach bet 500,000 and Veksler was the only caller to leave two players remaining to the {Q-Spades} turn. Wellenbach now bet 1,100,000 and forced a fold from Veksler.

"Good flop for me," Wellenbach said in table chat after Chino Rheem had inquired about his hand.

Hand #64: Veksler opened to 160,000 with {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds} from early position and Rheem called in the big blind with {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Veksler hit top pair on {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Rheem check-folded to a bet of 175,000.

Hand #65: Rheem limped the small blind with {Q-Spades}{10-Spades} and Brian Altman in the big blind checked with {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}. The flop came {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Rheem's bet of 100,000 won the pot right there.

Hand #66: Wellenbach made it 200,000 to go with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Daniel Strelitz three-bet the cutoff with {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, making it 650,000 to go. Action folded back to Wellenbach and he sent his cards into the muck.

Hand #67: Strelitz raised to 160,000 with {K-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Rheem flat-called in the cutoff with {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. On a flop of {A-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Strelitz checked and Rheem got the job done with a bet of 300,000.

Hands #58–62: Strelitz Gets Involved

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hand #58: Daniel Strelitz completed {Q-Spades}{7-Clubs} in the small blind and Rheem checked his option with {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Strelitz bet 100,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop and Rheem called. The turn {5-Hearts} went check/check.

Strelitz bet 400,000 on the {7-Spades} river with the best hand and Rheem snap-folded.

Hand #59: Pavel Veksler raised up {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} to 160,000 from under the gun and Brian Altman defended {8-Spades}{6-Spades}. The {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop prompted a quick check-fold from Altman.

Hand #60: Rheem raised {5-Clubs}{3-Spades} on the button and Veksler defended {9-Hearts}{7-Spades}. Veksler check-folded quickly to a 300,000 bet on the {Q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop.

Hand #61: Daniel Strelitz raised to 160,000 in middle position with {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Vicent Bosca defended {9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} from the big blind.

The {J-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop gave Bosca a flush draw, while Strelitz held the ace of clubs. Bosca checked, Strelitz bet 125,000, Bosca check-raised to 390,000 and Strelitz gave it up.

Hand #62: Strelitz raised again to 160,000, this time with {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades} from under the gun. The five other players quickly released.

Hands #53–57: Four-Bet Shove by Veksler

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Hand #53: Scott Wellenbach raised to 200,000 in the cutoff with {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and claimed the blinds and big blind ante.

Hand #54: Altman in the small blind checked the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} flop with {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Daniel Strelitz in the cutoff bet 150,000 with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. Altman called and the {8-Diamonds} followed on the turn to give Strelitz a flush draw on top of his pair and gutshot.

Altman checked once more and Strelitz checked behind, spiking the {J-Spades} on the river. A third check by Altman followed and Strelitz bet 225,000 into a pot of 780,000. Altman called and Strelitz claimed the pot.

Hand #55: First to act, Wellenbach raised to 200,000 with {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and Chino Rheem three-bet to 600,000 in the cutoff with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}. Pavel Veksler in the small blind looked down at {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} and four-bet all in for 4,475,000. Wellenbach folded and Rheem asked if Veksler would show, but received a "no" almost immediately.

Hand #56: Veksler opened to 160,000 on the button with {J-Spades}{2-Spades} and Vicent Boska jammed for 1,550,000 with {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Wellenbach quickly folded an ace-jack and Veksler also had no intention in calling.

Hand #57: Rheem opened to 200,000 with {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Wellenbach three-bet the small blind to 800,000 with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. Rheem asked for the stack size of Wellenbach and elected to fold.
