Rheem Rivers the Nuts

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Chino Rheem
Chino Rheem

Matthias Eibinger in the big blind faced a raise to 60,000 by Chino Rheem and flat-called to see the {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop, on which he then called a bet of 75,000. Eibinger checked the {K-Clubs} turn and Rheem checked behind.

Eibinger bet the {Q-Hearts} river for 210,000 only to face a quick raise to 600,000 by Rheem. After some consideration, the Austrian called and was shown the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} for the nut straight to lose a decent chunk of his stack.

Joao Simao
Joao Simao

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 65,000 in middle position, Joao Simao three-bet shoved 460,000 from the blinds and Vogelsang instantly called it off.

Joao Simao: {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Christoph Vogelsang: {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}

Team PokerStars Pro Andre Akkari was on the rail to cheer for his countryman on and the Brazilians saw the {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop add a flush draw to the outs. The {10-Hearts} on the turn meant Simao could only win with a flush, but the river was the {10-Diamonds} instead to deliver him death by quads.

The remaining two active players checked the {9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop and Altman's bet of 175,000 on the {7-Spades} turn forced a fold from Vogelsang.

Enrico Camosci: {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

The Italian rail was asking for an ace, but their wish wasn't granted with a blank {Q-Spades} river. Camosci was eliminated in 17th place for $69,220 and the remaining 16 players will now redraw to the last two tables.

Joao Simao: {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Pavel Veksler: {A-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop gave both players top pair, but Simao had the flush draw on top. "Always a sweat," Chino Rheem chimed in.
