Cooler Finishes Loeliger

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Xavier Carriere raised to 1,100 under the gun and got three-bet right away by the opponent on his left to 3,300. Action folded to big blind Linus Loeliger, and the online crusher moved all in for 21,250. Carriere called after getting a count, and the third player splashed in his stack of about 25,000.

Carriere: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}
Loeliger: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Third player: {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, improving nobody, so Carriere scored the double knockout.

Fatima Moreira De Melo
Fatima Moreira De Melo

Fatima Moreira de Melo bet 4,500 from the small blind against a pair of opponents on a {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. Both called, and the {6-Spades} paired the board. Moreira de Melo fired again for 7,000. An early player mucked, but Alexis Urli shoved it all in from middle position. Moreira de Melo would need to call off her remaining 17,300 to continue. After a couple of minutes, she decided not to let it go.

Moreira de Melo: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Urli: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The PokerStars Team Pro desperately needed a cowboy to emerge from the deck, but a {7-Diamonds} fell to end her tournament.

David Tops Goliath

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

It was PokerStars qualifier Norion Rosa against online titan Linus Loeliger, and the underdog came out on top in a big pot.

With {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} sitting on the felt, a player had bet 1,900 in middle position. Rosa made it 4,000 on the button and Loeliger repopped to 11,000 from the big blind. The original bettor mucked, but Rosa stuck around. Loeliger shoved all in on the {2-Hearts} turn, and Rosa snap-called.

Rosa: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Loeliger: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Rosa was ahead, and the {2-Clubs} river enabled him to dodge Loeliger's outs. Rosa let out a yell of celebration and collected 23,425, most of Loeliger's remaining chips.

Kruk Keeps Climbing

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Christopher Kruk, one of the most entertaining guys to follow on Twitter, started the Main Event like he started the €50,000 Super High Roller: by accumulating chips.

After Hady El Asmar limped in, Kruk made it 1,500 to go. Guillermo Gordo Cifuentes three-bet to 4,600 from the big blind, El Asmar folded, and Kruk called. Gordo bet 3,800 on the {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop and Kruk called again. The turn was the {4-Spades} and Gordo quickly check-folded to Kruk's bet.

Lunkin Mucks Ace-King Pre

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Vitaly Lunkin opened for a raise to 1,200 under the gun. Yann Cohen, who seemed determined to get his stack in if his recent series of shoves were any indication, jammed from middle position. It looked like about 14,000, and the player in the cutoff reshipped. Lunkin instantly mucked {a-}{k-} with a shrug when action folded back to him.

Cohen: {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Cohen was in rough shape with an ace dead but made a flush on the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{9-Spades} board.

Salter Shoves On De Silva

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

On a {9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop, it got checked to Upeshka De Silva, who bet 750. After a player called, Jack Salter check-raised to 3,300, De Silva called, and the third player folded.

The turn was the {8-Hearts} and Salter continued with an overbet of 12,000. De Silva thought for a while before making the call.

On the {K-Hearts} river, Salter moved in for around 26,000 and De Silva went deep in the tank. With his arms crossed, he studied the board before shifting his gaze to Salter. De Silva removed his sunglasses and intensely studied Salter's face, whose mouth was covered by a surgical mask.

After De Silva had run all possible combo's through his mind, he settled on a fold. Salter showed him the {4-Diamonds} and scooped up the pot.

Petrangelo Offers Up a Strange Line

Niveau 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Nick Petrangelo was facing a bet of 1,500 on a flop of {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds} when we got to his table, and he plopped in a call from the big blind. When the {8-Diamonds} fell, he led at his middle-position opponent for 2,000 and received a quick call. On the {5-Hearts} river, Petrangelo bet 1,000 into the 9,000 or so pot. His opponent smiled and pointed at the pot as if confused, ultimately giving it up without a fight.
