Yaroshevskyy Is Good

Niveau 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Igor Yaroshevskyy opened for 650 and picked up no fewer than 3 callers; a player in middle position, the button and the big blind.

The big blind lead out for 1,500 on {5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Clubs} and Yaroshevskyy and the player in middle position called, the button folded.

On the {A-Clubs} turn, action checked to the player in middle position and he bet 3,200. Thebig blind folded, Yaroshevskyy called.

Yaroshevskyy check-called another 5,000 on the {A-Diamonds} river and saw his opponent wave his cards. Yaroshevskyy showed {10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and his opponent mucked.

Reixach Sliding

Niveau 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

Sergi Reixach bet 2,300 from the big blind on a board of {j-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}, and the player in the small blind called. The small blind then checked the {2-Diamonds} river and quickly called when Reixach bet 7,000. The Spaniard turned over {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for a whiffed straight draw, and he mucked when shown {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for a set.

Reixach dropped another pot right after that and appears to be below the 10,000 mark.

Online Stud and 2015 WSOPE Runner-Up David "davaman" Lopez in Action

Niveau 4 : 150/300, 50 ante

David Lopez Llacer made his presence known in the live poker realm in 2015 when he finished runner-up to Kevin MacPhee for $538,787. However, the Spaniard, who now lives in Bournemouth/UK, was tearing it up long before that, albeit online as "davaman."

According to PokerStars, Lopez, at the time 25, worked as a physical education teacher in 2014 before deciding to take poker a little more seriously. He became the fastest Spanish player ever to reach SuperNova Elite, the highest VIP status on PokerStars, when he accrued a million VPP points in the first three months of the year.

López broke the previous record held by Javier Etayo, who in 2011 took six months to became Spain’s quickest player to SNE.

According to a piece by Giovanni Angioni right here on PokerNews, Lopez is yet another member of the community of Spanish players who decided to relocate after the country regulated online poker with the creation of a closed liquidity ring-fenced market.

Lopez in action here on Day 1a and is looking to add to his $792,295 in live tournament earnings.

Robin Andersson Jams the River

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

With about 10,000 in the pot already, on a board reading {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}, PokerStars qualifier Robin Andersson checked from under the gun. The player in the hijack checked, and the cutoff bet 3,000. Andersson check-raised to 8,000 and the hijack folded. The cutoff called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and both players opted to check to the river, which was the {5-Diamonds}.

Andersson began to reach into his stack, and his opponent dramatically grabbed his entire stack at the same moment. That didn't stop Andersson though, as he moved all in for 11,400. His opponent wasted no time and mucked his hand.

Watson Shoves on Haxton

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

We picked up the action on the river with a board reading {a-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} and around 16,000 in the pot.

Isaac Haxton had 5,500 out in front of him in the big blind and 2016 PCA champ Mike Watson, who was in the cutoff, had the all-in "triangle of death" laying next to his hand.

Haxton had 7,500 back and was debating what to do with it. Eventually he settled on a fold and Watson took down the pot to push his stack up to 50,000.

Adams Eliminated

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante
Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

It was a short run in the Main Event for Canadian high roller Timothy Adams. He had a bet of 5,000 in front of him in the last hand he played, with {7-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} on the felt. Lokesh Garg check-raised to 11,500 and Adams responded with an all-in shove for 26,000. Garg called.

Garg: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Adams: {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Top two was no good for Adams, and he didn't improve on the {a-Spades} river.

Jessica Borrego Busts One

Niveau 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

Panama's Jessica Perez Borrego raised to 525 from early position and was called by the button, as well as PokerStars qualifier Ricardo Tavares in the big blind.

The flop came {9-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and Tavares checked. Borrego bet 1,100, and action moved to the button. He thought about it for a moment and raised to 2,800. Tavares re-raised to 6,500 and action was back on Borrego. She wasted no time and moved all in, having both of her opponents covered. The button folded, and Tavares snap-called.

Borrego: {10-Spades}{8-Spades}
Tavares: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Borrego was dominated, even after flopping trip eights. The turn, however, bailed her out when the {10-Diamonds} hit.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and Borrego collected the pot, sending her opponent to the rail.
