Dernier de la classe au départ du Jour 5, dimanche, Luis Alejandro Mata n'a pas survécu à son premier coup. Jonathan Abdellatif a lui doublé d'entrée pour se lancer vers la finale.
Vincent Allevato s'est fracassé contre Robin Luca Wozniczek puis le chipleader du Jour 1 Igor Yaroshevskyy a été victime de Kenneth Smaron, provoquant l'ultime réunification sur une table de 9 joueurs.
Robin Luca Wozniczek a mis la pression sur Denis Timofeev avec un 4-bet bluff préflop et deux barrels avec hauteur pendant qu'Abdellatif doublait encore à deux reprises. Après la sortie de Michael Lech, le deep-run de Byron Kaverman s'arrêtait en 8e position pour un gain de 35,920$.
Abdellatif doublait de nouveau avant que le coup de la journée n'arrive... Un coup qui prouve que le chipleader n'a pas peur d'aller gagner le chèque d'un peu moins de 300.000$ promis au vainqueur. Kenneth Smaron opened the hijack to 65,000. Small blind Denis Timofeev, who won the previous hand from Smaron, three-bet to 210,000 with 1.4 million behind. Abdellatif folded his big blind, Smaron called.
The flop came and Timofeev bet 225,000 into 485,000. Smaron called to grow the pot to 935,000.
