Eric Wasylenko

Eric Wasylenko moved all in from early position for his remaining 21,000 chips.

Action folded around to Jason Wheeler in the big blind and he quickly called.

Wheeler: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Wasylenko: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Wasylenko was unable to find one of the two remaining eights in the deck as the board ran out {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}, sending him to the rail.

More Famous Peters Also Hits Rail

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
David Peters
David Peters

Tobias Peters is already out, and now the more well-known Peters, David, has followed.

The high rolling Peters shoved about 33,000 in with {a-Hearts}{10-Spades} on a board of {j-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} from the button, and Denis Timofeev snap-called in the cutoff. Timofeev had {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a straight and the {5-Diamonds} river was it for Peters.

Tito Ortiz Flops Eights Full

Niveau 10 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Tito Ortiz

With around 10,000 in the pot and a flop of {6-Spades}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}, a player checked from early position and UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz did the same from middle position. Canada's Pouliot Serge then bet 4,500 from the hijack and only Ortiz called to see the {3-Hearts} turn.

Action went check-check, the {J-Spades} completed the board on the river, and Ortiz bet a small 3,000. Serge paid it off only to muck when the MMA legend rolled over the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a flopped full house.

Leo Fernandez

We just heard of the bust out of Leo Fernandez. On a flop of {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades}, Fernandez bet 5,000. His opponent Eric Wasylenko raised to 11,000 and called Fernandez's 36,000 shove that followed.

Fernandez tables {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs} but was behind to Wasylenko's {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}. The {A-Clubs} on the turn settled it, the {10-Spades} on the river was of no importance anymore. Leo Fernandez eliminated from the tournament.

Another WSOP Main Event Champ Hits the Rail

Steven Thompson Vila opened the cutoff with a raise to 2,400 and small blind Aleks Dimitrov three-bet to 7,400. Big blind Ryan Riess cold four-bet to 19,500 and initial raiser Vila instantly folded. Dimitrov tanked for a bit before he moved in. Riess quickly checked his cards one last time before he called.

Aleks Dimitrov: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}
Ryan Riess: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Riess departed.

2014 WSOP Main Event Drowned on the River

Niveau 9 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Martin Jacobson
Martin Jacobson

2014 WSOP Main Event champ Martin Jacobson got his last 43,000 or so all in preflop and found himself at risk against Canada's Anthony Diotte.

Diotte: {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Jacobson: {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

Jacobson needed some help and got some when the {4-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop paired his ace. The {7-Hearts} turn meant Jacobson just needed to dodge a king on the river, but that proved easier said than done as the {K-Diamonds} spiked to put an end to his day.

Jaime Staples Eliminated

Jaime Staples

Jaime Staples moved to a new table as his old one was broken, and got right into the action shoving his first hand. From seat five, the hijack, he moved in for 7,500.

Caufman Talley on the button asked for a count and called. Big blind Allberto Meran Matias squeezed to 30,000 and Talley instantly folded.

Allberto Meran Matias: {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Jaime Staples: {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

"Come on baby!" Jaime Staples said, "Actually, let's chop it. Put a ten high straight on the board, can we do that?"

Meran Matias seemed ok to chop, but it would be anything but: {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} on the flop. Staples and Meran Matias shook hands as the dealer put the {9-Hearts} and {K-Clubs} out to complete the board.

"I had sixes" Talley admitted.

"Good game guys," Staples said as he got up from the table and made his exit.

In the second hand of play, Vicente Delgado opened the action from middle position. From the button, Igor Yaroshevskyy three-bet to 7,500 and both blinds quickly released. When action got back to Delgado, he put in a fourth bet, worth 21,200.

Yaroshevskyy asked his opponent how much he was playing, but Delgado just pointed at his stack without saying a word.

After thinking about it for a little bit more, Yaroshevskyy five-bet to 47,500. Delgado didn't need much time as he shoved all in after about ten seconds in the tank. Yaroshevskyy called instantly.

Vicente Delgado: {A-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Igor Yaroshevskyy: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Delgado parted ways with his 138,000-stack.
