While the stack of Driss Ekadioin has been shrinking over the past half an hour, [Removed:19] is going the other way and added some more chips. After a raise to 450 from early position, Ekadioin called in the small blind and Sokolovsky in the big blind came along.

The flop fell {7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Ekadioin wanted to bet 100, but was reminded to make it at least 150. Both opponents called and the {6-Hearts} turn saw a bet worth 200 by the Dutchman and two calls. After the {K-Hearts} river, Ekadioin checked and Sokolovskiy bet 1,000. The initial raiser called and Ekadioin folded.

Sokolovskiy turned over {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for a flush and that won the pot.

Davydov Slam Dunks the River

We caught up with the action as Denis Davydov was check-calling a bet of 1,600. The board read {10-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and the two players saw the {q-} fall on the river. Davydov checked again and his opponent fired out a bet of 3,525. Davydov quickly raised to 10,000 and after a moment his opponent called. Davydov tabled {k-Diamonds}{j-Spades}, binking a gutshot straight on the river and his opponent mucked.

Savchenko Among Chip Leaders

Artem Savchenko had already built a decent stack early on and that grew bigger after a multi-way hand with Igor Dubinsky and Mikhail Rudoy. Rudoy raised to 350 and was called by three opponents including aforementioned Savchenko on the button, Dubinsky in the small blind and the big blind.

On the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop all four players checked and Rudoy bet the {6-Diamonds} turn for 800. Only Savchenko called and did so again for 3,000 on the {4-Clubs} river. Rudoy turned over {A-Hearts}{6-Spades} for aces and sixes, which Savchenko had beat with {7-Spades}{4-Spades} for trips fours.

Ilia Mikhailov vs Igor Dimitrijevic

Middle position raised to 350. Ilia Mikhailov called on the button and Igor Dimitrijevic defended his big blind.

The river was the {8-Spades} and Dimitrijevic checked to his opponent who bet 1,600. Mikhailov counted out the call and threw the chips into the middle.

Mikhailov showed {j-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush and his Serbian opponent strained his neck to see his opponent's cards before folding.

Tikhonov Takes from Shutenko

On the three-way flop of {9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}, Ruslan Goncharov and Dmitriy Shutenko checked out of the blinds and Sergey Tikhonov bet 500. Goncharov folded and Shutenko called to see the {3-Clubs} on the turn.

Shutenko quickly checked and called a second barrel worth 1,500 by Tikhonov before quickly checking the {J-Spades} on the river. Tikhonov made it 3,500 to go and Shutenko snap-called, but mucked his cards as soon as Tikhonov tabled {7-Spades}{6-Spades} for two pair.

Filimonov Gets Some Back

With action folded around to the player in the small blind, he raised to 450. Dmitrii Filimonov was in the big blind and three-bet to 1,350. His opponent made the call.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Filimonov's continuation bet of 1,400 was check-called. The {10-Diamonds} touched down on the turn and both players checked to see the {a-Diamonds} on the river.

Filimonov's opponent led with a bet of 2,500. Taking a moment, Filimonov tossed out two 5,000 chips, raising to 10,000. His opponent went into the tank and eventually folded.

Haddadnia Gone; Medvedev Up More

Pagano Builds Stack

Pagano then took the lead by betting the {5-Diamonds} river for 2,800 and both opponents called.

The latest WPT Champion Daniyar Aubakirov has entered the field and is seated at a table in the same distinctive red hoodie he wore in the Dutch capital earlier this month.

Aubakirov took home $166,344 for his win and was the latest WPT Champion as he took down WPT Amsterdam. The Kazakh player is now here in Sochi looking for another deep run in a big field.
