2018 Winamax Poker Open Dublin
Our colleagues at Winamax caught up with former Reading and Lens footballer [Removed:30] earlier today.
After retiring from the game three years ago after eight years of football, including five at Reading, Kebe has now turned his hand to poker. Since 2014 he has earned $128,000 in live poker tournaments.
"Until recently I did not know much about poker when I was playing in a tournament," he said. "But recently for the last few months I've gotten more interested so I'm trying to play more and more. That's why I came here.
According to Kebe he used to predominantly play cash games but now has switched to tournaments.
"Tournaments are completely different but I like the competitive side. It's my character, just like it was in football."
And perhaps a new professional career in poker looms?
"We'll see in the future!"
For now Kebe says that he just wants to get through the day without any problems "and just put chis in the bag at the end of the day."

Players are going on their final break of the day. When they return they will have just three levels left in the day.
After coming agonisingly close to breaking the 2013 record twelve months ago, it's now official! The 2018 Winamax Poker Open Dublin Main Event is the biggest ever, with over 1,100 entries. This surpasses not only the 1,069 from 2017 but the record of 1,086 from 2013.
It also looks like the tournament could be one of the biggest 6-Max tournaments ever held, although Winamax are waiting to confirm that themselves.
For the first time ever there were three starting days, with the final one proving to be the most popular; having in itself more entries than the entire tournament in 2010 or 2011.
Here are the details of each flight's entries over the last five years.

It wasn't a classic flip, but a flip nonetheless as Ivan Deyra was hoping his would hold against the of an opponent.
The flop came but the gave his opponent a flush draw as well as his pair outs. The river was the and Deyra sent his opponent to the rail.

Yesterday saw the "second Main Event" take place with the Winamax Beer Pong Open which saw 97 pairs whittled down to just one winner.
And for the second event in a row after Pierre Calamusa's victory in Marrakech at the Winamax SISMIX, another Winamax Team Pro took down the title with Gaelle Baumann and Kevin Noblat winning the event.
"It's perhaps even better than the Main Event because it's here in Dublin!" said Baumann shortly after winning. "You know, with people drinking and having fun. It's funny because when I'm playing beer pong I'm just so focussed it's like I can't lose. Even more so than in poker. And winning with my [Kevin] is something you always want so it's nice, it's really nice."
"We had six months training(!)" said Noblat jokingly. "For me, this is my Main Event because I'm covering the proper Main Event. This is the only moment all week where I can win."
