Helm Doubles Through Bednarczyk

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Brad Helm opened to 5,000 from early position and John Bednarczyk three-bet to 7,600 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Helm who made the call. The flop came {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} and both players checked the {3-Spades} on the turn.

Helm led out for 5,000 and Bednarczyk min-raised to 10,000. Helm pushed in a re-raise to 34,000 and Bednarczyk quickly announced all in. Helm snap-called with his tournament life on the line for a total of 57,300. He tabled {a-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nut flush and Bednarczyk was drawing dead with {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}. Helm earned himself a full double up which slowed Bednarczyk down after his run of hot cards.

Sanders Doubles Up with Broadway

Niveau 15 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jodie Sanders opened to 4,500 from the hijack and Ray Flora defended from the big blind. The flop came {a-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades} and Flora led out for 4,000. Sanders called and the {j-Hearts} peeled off on the turn.

Flora fired another 7,000 and Sanders pushed all in for 27,700. Flora asked for a count and then made the call. Sanders turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} for a straight while Flora turned two pair with {j-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. The river was the insignificant {7-Hearts} and Sanders held on for a full double up, leaving Flora with less than five big blinds.

Pepper Gets a Little Lucky

Niveau 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

After an opening raise from a player in early position to 5,000, action folded to Jason Pepper in middle position. He raised, making it 11,000 and action folded back around to the player in early position. He thought for several minutes about the hand before the clock was called. About midway through his time, the player decided to move all in and Pepper snap-called.

"I hope you have queens," the player said.

Jason Pepper: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The other player was excited to see Pepper's hand, but he was much less excited when the flop came {Q-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades} leaving him drawing to a ten or a king. The turn was the {Q-Clubs} which reduced his amount of outs even more and the river was the {K-Hearts} which gave him a pair, but it was no good as Pepper made trips and took down the pot, moving him to right around 100,000 chips.

Seufert Celebrates Prematurely

Niveau 14 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Zachary Seufert
Zachary Seufert

Zachary Seufert opened from early position and David Phornton shipped all in for 20,900 on the button. Once the blinds folded, Seufert made the call and the cards were on their backs.

David Phornton: {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Zachary Seufert: {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The flop came {a-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Seufert celebrated with a fist pump after flopping two pair. However, the turn brought the {q-Hearts} which caught the eye of the rest of the table. Phornton picked up a straight draw and the table started to anticipate Seufert's early celebration ending poorly.

The dealer burned and turned the {10-Spades} on the river giving Phornton a straight. Seufert was left with his head in his hands as he couldn't believe that Phornton caught his runner-runner outs to double up.

Bednarczyk Scores a Double KO

Niveau 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Immediately after the bubble burst, John Bednarczyk found himself involved in another pot. He called the shoves of two other players and had both covered.

John Bednarczyk: {J-Spades}{J-Hearts}
Opponent 1: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Opponent 2: {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

The flop ran out {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades} and that left Bednarczyk with the best of the three hands, having his pocket jacks hold up to take down another pot and move to nearly 100,000 chips.

Two Players Chop the Bubble

Niveau 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

There were multiple all-ins on the money bubble and that led to multiple eliminations as well. At one table, Jason Bardol was all in and holding {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts} but ran into the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} of Jason Pepper. The flop came {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Bardol was left drawing to runner-runner outs. The {4-Spades} on the turn ended things and Bardol became the first casualty.

At another table, Ryan Side was all in on the flop of {j-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and was called by John Bednarczyk. Side tabled {5-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Bednarczyk held a flush draw with {9-Spades}{8-Spades}. The turn was the {9-Hearts} giving Bednarczyk more outs and the {8-Clubs} on the river gave him a larger two pair.

Bardol and Side were both eliminated on the bubble and will split the min-cash of $837 between them. The eliminations are expected to come fast and furiously now that everyone has reached the money.

Helm Earns an Important Double Up on the Bubble

Niveau 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Brad Helm opened with a raise to 3,500 and he found calls from three other players, making four-way action heading to a flop.

The flop was {6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and first to act, Helm led out with a bet of 6,000. The player next to act shoved with a covering stack and action folded back to Helm. Helm called and both players turned up their hands.

Brad Helm: {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}
Opponent: {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Helm had flopped a set but had much to dodge as his opponent flopped both flush and straight draws.

The turn {J-Spades} and river {Q-Hearts} were both bricks though and that allowed Helm to double up for 19,300.
