Among those to fall was former winner of this event Chad Holloway. In a tweet about the hand, Holloway said he was in the big blind and was the third caller with after a min-raise to 1,000. He tweeted that he was thinking of a "possible stop and go."
Holloway checked the flop of , then jammed the remainder of his 4,200 stack after the original raiser bet 750 and both other players called. The original raiser called, tabling pocket sevens after the other two players folded. Holloway found no help on the rest of the board, and headed for the exit.

It was 2013 when Chad Holloway won his bracelet in this very same event, locking down the title and $84,915. At his table, he is having a small reunion of sorts.
To Holloway's right is Daniel Ellery. Ellery was the 5th place finisher the year that Holloway won this event, locking down $18,426.
On the other side of the table is also Allen Kwong. Kwong was the player that Holloway bested heads-up to win the event. For his runner-up finish, Kwong won $52,318 and is possibly looking for some revenge against Holloway.
With a bunch of tables still with players, it's quite the coincidence that all three would be seated together once again. Holloway tweeted about the freak occurrence as well:
Small world. Five years after winning @WSOP Employees Event I’m having a reunion of sorts. Alan Kwong (seat 9) and… https://t.co/YYOMKp8vJ8

With around 4,000 in the middle already, the board read . Molly Mossey checked from early position and Bill Wong made a bet of 1,850 directly to her left. Mossey check-raised to 5,500 only to have Wong slide in a stack of T1,000 chips, putting Mossey to the test for her remaining stack.
Mossey tanked for a couple of minutes and finally released her cards to the muck, leaving herself with just 6,500 chips. Wong, on the other hand, has accumulated a stack of over 35,000 and sits near the top of the leaderboard.

Action folded around to the button where the player moved all in for just under 6,000. In the big blind, Bryan Hollis called.

The board ran out and that kept Hollis in the lead with his pair of eights, allowing him to nearly double up, as when the stacks were counted he had just a bit more than his opponent. With that, the defending champion moved to right around 11,000.

There is one massive stack that sticks out in the room and that belongs to Las Vegas local, Aarryn Richards. Richards has built up a chip stack of over 50,000 which is far and away the largest in the field thus far.
The Orange section in the Amazon room has nearly cleared out with over half of the field now eliminated. The bustouts continue to happen at a rapid pace with just about an hour left before the late registration period closes.
