Birnbaum Loses Chips

Niveau 13 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Nancy Birnbaum opened to 3,600 from middle position and a player moved all-in for 10,500 in the small blind. Birnbaum called and it created the following showdown:

Nancy Birnbaum: {j-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Her opponent: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Birnbaum was in bad shape to win the hand and a {6-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} run out brought her no help.

Carol Fuchs
Carol Fuchs

On a board showing {4-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, Carol Fuchs, in big blind, called the 2,000 bet from her opponent in the small blind.

The same action happened on the {3-Spades} river, for another 2,000 and Fuchs tabled {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for trip treys. It was enough to earn the pot as her opponent mucked his hand.

Wright On a Heater

Niveau 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We previously left Larry Wright with around three big blinds and the owner of the 2012 $1,500 No-Limit 2-7 Lowball Draw WSOP title has been on a heater since then.

A first player limped and Wright from the hijack raised it to 4,800. His opponent folded and Wright just showed a {k-Diamonds}.

He is now up to a stack worth 26,000 chips.

Shulman Exits

Niveau 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Allyn Shulman was all in and up against Joe Bianchi for her tournament life. The cards were turned on their back, and she needed help from the board.

Allyn Shulman: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Joe Bianchi: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Board: {7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The 2012 Seniors Championship winner could not get the help she needed as Bianchi's pocket kings held, and Shulman was sent to the payout desk.

The flop fell {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and both players checked. On the {3-Hearts} turn, Blumenfield bet 5,000 and his opponent called.

The river was a {8-Hearts}, Blumenfield checked and folded quickly after his opponent fired 10,000. Blumenfield is still amongst the top stacks with about 115,000

Chip Leader O'Donnell Hits a Straight

Niveau 12 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Kevin O'Donnell
Kevin O'Donnell

Start of Day 2 chip leader Kevin O'Donnell raised from middle position and got just the one call from William Luzadder in the big blind. The flop fell {4-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Luzadder check-called a 3,000 bet from O'Donnell before both players checked on the {9-Hearts} turn.

On the {3-Diamonds} river, Luzadder then bet out 4,000 and was raised to 12,000 by O'Donnell. After a minutes thought, Luzadder made the call.

"The river got me there", said O'Donnell, after he tabled {a-Spades}{5-Spades} for a straight.

Luzadder gave himself a few seconds to study the board before he mucked his hand, and O'Donnell continued his Day 1 good form into Day 2.
