East Coast Rossy in Trouble

Niveau 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

On a {9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop, Mike Ross checked, Francis Whitaker bet, Christopher Dzoan called, Ross made it two bets, Whitaker called, and Dzoan folded. Ross bet the {4-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river as well, receiving two calls.

Ross tabled {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades} for a set of nines, but Whitaker had {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades} for a straight. "East Coast Rossy" was left with just 700 after the hand.

Zhigalov Loses Some

Niveau 4 : 100/200, 0 ante

On the heads-up flop of {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Andrey Zhigalov check-called a bet of Lori Berumen before checking again the {9-Clubs} turn. Berumen bet once more and Zhigalov folded.

The mixed game specialist from Russia won some chips soon after before getting involved in the last hand of the level in a battle cutoff versus big blind. His opponent bet the {Q-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} turn and Zhigalov called before doing so again on the {8-Diamonds} river. The big blind flashed {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Spades} for a full house and Zhigalov mucked.

Chin and Glaser Chop

Niveau 5 : 125/250, 0 ante

Thomas Johnson is no longer the biggest stack at his table as Benny Glaser pulled ahead of him.

Just now Anson Tsang raised and Glaser three-bet on the button. Roderick Chin in the big blind put in two bets for the call before he was reminded by Glaser that he had re-raised. Chin called anyways, as did Tsang. The trio checked down the {Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} flop and the {A-Diamonds} turn. On the {8-Spades} river, Chin bet and just Glaser called.

Chin rolled over {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} for a pair of kings and a low, and Glaser won the high pot with {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

Laffen Eliminated

Niveau 5 : 125/250, 0 ante

Marcus Laffen will not be adding a gold WSOP bracelet around his wrist yet, as he just became the latest casualty in this tournament. Laffen was already all-in on a {2-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades}{J-Clubs}{4-Hearts} board and side pot action was brewing between Barry Rosenbloom and Dion Asuncion.

Asuncion bet the river and Rosenbloom called. Asuncion then tabled {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for ace-jack and the winning high, Rosenbloom flipped over {7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} for a seven low to scoop the other half, Laffen mucked and was out.
