Lyndaker Eliminates Ivey

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Phil Ivey
Phil Ivey

On a board reading {3-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, big blind Richard Lyndaker bet enough to put Phil Ivey all in. Ivey was in the cutoff and had about 63,000 left, just a hair under Lyndaker's pot-sized bet. Ivey sloppily shipped all his chips in and turned over {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades}{9-Spades} for combo draw and a pair of sixes but he was trailing the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} of Lyndaker. The river was an {8-Spades} and Ivey wished everyone good luck.

Gomez Doubles Through Tosoc

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Eric Gomez was calling what looked to be a four-bet to 36,000 when we got to his table, sitting with the button against Ryan Tosoc in middle position. The flop came {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Tosoc dropped in 4,000, with Gomez announcing a call and sliding all his chips in. However, Tosoc said he had used the wrong chips and the dealer brought out a {6-Hearts} turn, where they could get the last 3,800 in.

Tosoc had {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Spades} for just aces and he was dead against {q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a flopped flush.

Tosoc Can Beat The Grinder

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

When Michael Mizrachi gets going, he's as hard to stop as anybody in poker. The three-time Chip Reese Memorial Trophy winner has been piling up chips in the PLO event so far, but even "The Grinder" can sometimes lose a few pots.

Mizrachi was in a three-way pot when we picked up the action on the {8-Spades}{K-Hearts}{10-Spades}{6-Hearts} turn. Ryan Tosoc led out 5,000 in the small blind, earning a call from the big blind. Mizrachi, sitting two seats further, raised to 35,000. Only Tosoc stuck around, calling.

The river came {7-Clubs} and Tosoc checked to Mizrachi who fired another 30,000. Tosoc quickly called and turned up {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Clubs} for a rivered straight. Mizrachi double checked his hand and then threw it away.

Wong Takes Advantage of Scary Board

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

Three players put in 10,000 or so preflop on a three-bet with Andre Nyffeler in the cutoff as aggressor. The flop came {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Nyffeler bet 16,000. Scott Seiver mucked on the button but Danny Wong continued from middle position. Both checked the {k-Clubs}, bringing the {a-Clubs}. Wong bet 45,000 and Nyffeler thought about 90 seconds and folded.

Landherr Cripples Mandavia

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

With the texture of {2-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{A-Hearts} lying in the middle, big blind Ankush Mandavia checked to Jeffrey Landherr (under the gun) who fired 55,000, around a pot-sized bet. Mandavia took his time and eventually found the calling button.

Landherr exposed {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{J-Spades}{2-Spades} for the nut flush and Mandavia mucked his holdings. He was left with just 3,000 while Landherr soared to 210,000.
