Chop for Porter and Baker

Niveau 13 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Ryan Laplante raised from the cutoff and he was called by Rep Porter in the small blind and David "ODB" Baker in the big blind.

The flop was {K-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} and all three players checked to the {8-Clubs} on the turn. There, Porter checked again. Baker bet 18,000. Laplante folded while Porter called.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Porter checked once more. Baker shoved all in and Porter called quickly.

David Baker: {A-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Rep Porter: {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{7-Clubs}

Baker had a straight and a low but it would only earn him half the pot as Porter made a flush on the river to take half the pot.

Laplante and O'Hara Chop

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante

There was right around 11,000 in the pot on the turn with a board of {8-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} out. Both Ian O'Hara and John Monnette checked form the blinds to Ryan Laplante who put out a bet of 8,000. Daniel Negreanu called in late position and both O'Hara and Monnette called as well.

The river was the {3-Clubs} and action checked around to Laplante again. He put out a stack, indicating a pot sized bet of 44,000. Negreanu mulled it over a bit, then folded. Ohara quickly called. Monnette dropped into the tank for a couple of minutes but eventually decided to let it go.

O'Hara showed {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} for eights full. Laplante was holding {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} for the nut low and wheel. The two would chop the pot while Negreanu and Monnette both dropped to short stacks.

Eilers Scoops a Massive Pot From Day 1 Chip Leader Gamble

Niveau 12 : 1,200/2,400, 0 ante
Nathan Gamble
Nathan Gamble

From the hijack seat, Benjamin Eilers opened with a raise to 7,500. Nathan Gamble as next to act and he made it 28,000 in the cutoff. Eilers called.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Eilers checked to Gamble. Gamble put out a bet of 26,000. Eilers announced a pot and Gamble quickly moved all in. Eilers called with a big stack behind of nearly 200,000, creating a massive pot.

Benjamin Eilers: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}
Nathan Gamble: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

Gamble had aces and a flush draw, but Eilers flopped two pair and was in the lead. The {10-Spades} came on the turn which put a near stranglehold on the hand for Eilers as he turned a full house and the {5-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing. Stacks were counted out and Eilers started the hand with 193,100. Gamble was forced to ship that over and Eilers doubled to nearly 400,000.
