Madsen Loses Some

Niveau 10 : 400/800, 100 ante

Jeff Madsen raised to 1,800 from early position, Kristy Arnett called from middle position, the next player to act jammed for what looked like about 8,000, and the cutoff shoved over the top for approximately 10,000. Madsen then five-bet shoved to put Arnett to a decision for her remaining chips. She folded and the three live players tabled their hands.

Jeff Madsen: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}
Middle position: {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Cutoff: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The cutoff had the preflop advantage and both Madsen and the middle-position player needed help from the deck to win the pot. Pocket tens were still best after the board ran out {J-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Clubs}, so the cutoff took the pot to eliminate the middle-position player and double through Madsen.

Gross Gone

Niveau 9 : 300/600, 100 ante
Jeff Gross in an earlier event
Jeff Gross in an earlier event

Action folded around to the player in the cutoff and he raised to 1,500. The button and small blind both folded before Jeff Gross, who was a last-minute late entry, three-bet to 3,500, leaving himself very few chips behind. The cutoff shoved to put Gross at risk and he quickly called.

Jeff Gross: {A-Spades}{J-Diamonds}
Cutoff: {K-Spades}{9-Hearts}

Gross has the preflop advantage and his opponent needed to improve in order to stack him. After the flop fell {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} to pair the cutoff's nine, Gross was the one in need of help. He didn't get it on the {2-Clubs} turn or {3-Spades} river, so the cutoff took the pot to eliminate Gross from this flight.

Dentale Applies Pressure

Niveau 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

Mike Dentale raised to 1,500 from middle position, the next player to act called, and both blinds also called.

The four players saw a flop of {Q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and they all checked.

The turn brought the {4-Diamonds} and the small blind checked. The big blind tossed out a bet of 2,600 and Dentale quickly moved a stack of yellow T-1,000 chips forward, putting the big blind to a decision for his remaining chips. All three of Dentale's opponents folded and he took the pot.

Gus Hansen is NOT a Ladies Man and Phil Hellmuth...

Niveau 9 : 300/600, 100 ante

In this episode of M8 D8 and R8 (mate - m8, date - d8 and rate r8) we find Gus Hansen is NOT a ladies man, well at least not for this Australian couple! Phil Hellmuth gets a pretty bad rating as a poker player, while Phil Ivey scores the top spot. Does Daniel Negreanu have a potential new date and Aussies Shane Warne and Gary Benson remain mates. Australians from the NPL join us in this fun packed game on a break at the WSOP 2018 at the RIO Las Vegas.
