Umdenstock Wins Big With River Call

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

For the second time today, a huge cheer came from a table in the Amazon Orange section and again it was Joseph Umdenstock celebrating.

When we arrived at the table, Umdenstock was counting his chips, and the hand was retold to us by a player at the table.

On the {10-}{2-}{4-} flop, Umdenstock called a 10,000 bet. On the {8-} river his opponent bet 25,000 and Umbdenstock called again. When the river came the {6-}, Umdenstock's opponent went all in for around 38,000.

It was told that Umdenstock's opponent stated he held pocket aces and even put his passport on the table.

"I don't lie I am Canadian." it was reported the player said.

But after the clock was called on Umdenstock, who had his opponent covered, he ultimately made the call and took the pot with pocket queens after his opponent mucked to move up to 165,000.

Natterimangadu Eliminates Moreno

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Varun Natterimangadu and Andrew Moreno were heads-up on the river. There was already about 20,000 in the main pot on the {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Spades} board.

Moreno moved all in for 39,200 sending Natterimangadu into the tank. Natterimangadu started at Moreno while he thought about his decision and after nearly a minute he called.

"Good call" said Moreno turning over {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for a missed draw and Natterimangadu showed {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for trip jacks to earn the pot and the elimination.

Matas Cimbolas was under the gun, check-calling a 2,500-bet on the {J-Spades}{A-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Spades} turn.

The river card was the {9-Hearts} and Cimbolas checked to his opponent who was on the button and skipped the last betting round, knuckling back. Cimbolas tabled {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} and his opponent tapped the felt, letting Cimbolas know that his hand was good in the showdown.

There was a raise of 700 from a middle position opponent and Justin Keener three-bet to 2,000 from the button. Emmanuel Lopez Lasuen four-bet from the small blind to 6,450, action folded to Keener who five-bet to 18,000.

Lasuen thought for a minute and then moved all in, Keener snap-called for his remaining 34,150 stack and the players turned over their hands.

Justin Keener: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Emmanuel Lopez Lasuen: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Keener's aces took down the pot, securing a full double up during the second level of play.

Zaichenko Climbs Back

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Andrey Zaichenko had lost nearly half of his stack when we checked upon him last time. Zaichenko, who is fresh on the back of a fourth-place finish in the Crazy Eights event, is still below the starting line but he's just added a decent chunk to improve his stack.

He was in the middle position, firing 8,200 into 12,950 on the {5-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{J-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} river. His opponent contemplated his decision but ultimately decided to fold, allowing Zaichenko to take down the pot and rise to 36,300.
