Antoine Labat et Sylvain Loosli franchissent le Jour 6
La tension monte et les choses se précisent sur le Main Event des World Series Of Poker 2018. Ils étaient 109 à l'entame du Jour 6 qui s'est déroulé au Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino dans la nuit de mardi à mercredi et ils ne sont plus que 26 en lice pour le bracelet du tournoi principal des WSOP et le premier prix de 8,8 millions de dollars.
Après cinq niveaux de 120 minutes, il ne reste plus que deux Français en lice pour le titre suprême. Après la sortie rapide du franco-américain Sean Marshall en début de journée (104e pour 57,010$), Alexandre Reard n'est pas parvenu à revenir dans la course. Arrivé en queue de peloton, celui qui avait atteint les demi-finales de l'édition 2017 s'incline cette fois en 92e position. Le Team Pro Unibet empoche 66 330$ pour ses efforts.
Benjamin Pollak a aussi abandonné ses espoirs d'une deuxième finale consécutive. Troisième de l'édition 2017, le tricolore s'incline finalement en 42e place pour un gain à 6 chiffres de 189 165$. "J'ai mal joué aujourd'hui... C'est relou car je ne peux m'en vouloir qu'à moi-même. Et j'ai horreur de ça...[...] J'ai perdu 3 flips de suite aujourd'hui. 3 showdowns. Alors que je sais qu'il faut les éviter", a confié l'expatrié londonien à Winamax avant de confier qu'il avait encore des parts chez Sylvain Loosli, Bart Lybaert et Ivan Luca, trois joueurs qui seront en lice pour le Jour 7.
Le Jour 6 a lui été très favorable à Aram Zobian. L'Américain a pris feu après la pause dîner pour emballer 41,5 millions de jetons alors qu'il y a 393,7 millions de jetons en circulation dans le tournoi ! "Je n'arrive même pas à comprendre ce qu'il se passe. Quel run, je suis bénie en plus c'est la première fois que cela m'arrive dans un tournoi. J'espère que cela va continuer demain", a indiqué Zobian qui a tout de même fait doubler Artem Metalidi pour permettre à ce dernier de finir avec 30,8 millions de jetons !
"Le but est le même chaque jour, il faut rester calme. Tôt lors du Jour 6 je me suis fait bluffer et j'ai fait un mauvais fold mais je suis resté calme et très cool. J'ai juste été patient et je suis resté calme. Je n'étais pas non plus trop dégoûté après la main contre Metalidi. Je me concentre sur ma routine du matin, une journée après l'autre, une main après l'autre", a terminé le chipleader du tournoi.
C'est un Français qui complète le podium provisoire. Antoine Labat (en photo de Une, ndlr) a eu le bonheur de tenir avec

Le tricolore termine la journée en troisième position du classement provisoire avec 28,4 millions de jetons ! De quoi rêve de la finale d'une vie pour celui qui a une longue expérience online et compte tout de même près de 200.000$ gains en carrière live.
Michael Dyer (26,515,000) et Alex Lynskey (22,045,000) complètent le Top 5. Yueqi Zhu, vainqueur d'un bracelet cet été pour son 71e cash WSOP, a lui emballé 19,2 millions de jetons et passe aussi à l'étape suivante tout comme Martijn Gerrits (17,790,000), le double vainqueur WSOP Eric Froehlich (15,285,000), celui qui a terminé 11e du Main Event WSOP 2016 John Cynn (14,750,000), Frederik Brink (12,100,000), le Français Sylvain Loosli (11,635,000), le vainqueur du Main Event 2009 Joe Cada (8,850,000) et l'Argentin Ivan Luca (8,820,000).

Deux joueurs ont donc l'expérience d'une finale sur ce tournoi et poursuivent leur route Outre Joe Cada, Sylvain Loosli a terminé 4e de ce Main Event en 2013 pour 2,8 millions de dollars. De quoi avoir la sourire en fin de journée : "C'est toujours incroyable de passer au Jour 7. Quelle journée ! J'ai très bien commencé et j'ai multiplié mon tapis par 4 pour monter à 15 millions et puis à partir de la pause dîner j'ai perdu tous les pots. J'ai gardé la bonne attitude et je me suis montré patient jusqu'à un changement de table. J'ai perdu des jetons et puis j'en ai gagné. De manière générale je suis très content de mon jeu et de ma stratégie", a-t-il indiqué. "Ma préparation est bien meilleure et j'ai beaucoup plus d'expérience", a confirmé Loosli en parlant de sa finale d'il y a cinq ans...
Jeff Trudeau (5,090,000), Bart Lybaert (3,825,000) et Barry Hutter (2,250,00) sont en queue de peloton mais ont encore quelques espoirs alors que le jeu reprendra avec 10 minutes à jouer dans le niveau 100 000 - 200 000 (30 000). Jorden Fox Eliminated in 27th Place ($282,630)
Artem Metalidi raised to 450,000 and Jorden Fox just called on the button. On the 
flop, Fox called a bet of 525,000.

turn was checked and Fox bet the 
river for 1,000,000 after Metalidi had checked, and the Ukrainian called. Fox turned over the

In the very next hand, which ended up being the last hand on the outer table, Michael Dyer made it 400,000 to go first to act. Fox three-bet to 1,150,000 in the cutoff and Dyer called after some consideration. The 
flop brought a check from Dyer, a bet of 2,000,000 by Fox and a call from Dyer.
The 
fell on the turn and Dyer checked once more, Fox bet 2,400,000 and Dyer moved all in. After brief consideration, Fox called and the cards were turned over while Fox's rail came closer to watch the showdown.

fell on the river to reduce the field for Day 7 to the last 26 in the very last hand. Fox was eliminated in 27th place and takes home $282,630.

Hutter Triples Up on Last Hand of the Night; Manion Hero-Folds Kings
Nicolas Manion opened to 500,000 and Alex Lynskey three-bet to 1,500,000. Barry Hutter was next to act with 580,000 behind and he waited for the all-in at the feature table to finish before moving all in.
With the action back on Manion, he raised it up to 5,000,000 and Lynskey moved all in.
Manion was taken aback. "You have to have it right," he said, pondering his decision. He then folded 
face up and the other cards were turned over.

Zobian Pulls Further Away
Aram Zobian made it 460,000 to go from the cutoff and Tony Miles called in the big blind. On the 
flop, both players checked and Miles check-folded the 
turn to a bet worth 380,000.
Zobian then made it 525,000 to go and Jorden Fox called in the cutoff. Artem Metalidi in the big blind three-bet to 2,800,000, which was called by Zobian and forced a fold from Fox. Both players elected to check the 
flop and the turn. After the river, Metalidi checked and Zobian made it 1,925,000 to go.
Metalidi took off his sunglasses and stared at his opponent for more than a minute before sending his cards into the muck.
