Foxen Adds to His Piles

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Alex Foxen
Alex Foxen

Alex Foxen was in the big blind, checking the {5-Spades}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts} flop when we arrived. A player two seats to Foxen's left fired 4,200 and a raise to 15,000 followed from middle position. Foxen called and the first bettor called off for his 13,500 total.

The side pot remained the same after the {Q-Diamonds} turn but Foxen led out a small 6,000-bet on the {2-Spades} river. He earned a call and showed the {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for flopped top two. The all in player exposed {K-}{Q-} before heading out of the room while the third player flashed what looked like {A-Spades}{J-Spades}.

Foxen took down the pot, scoring an elimination on the way. He's now playing 287,000.

Wang Puts Gray to the Test

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

The action folded around to Jonathan Gray who raised it up on the button. Michael Wang was in the big blind and three-bet to 6,200. Gray called and the two went heads-up to a flop of {8-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Wang led out for 7,000 and Gray called to see the {2-Diamonds} fall on the turn. Wang slid in a stack of T5,000 chips, enough to put Gray to the test for his remaining 31,500. Gray thought for a minute and then pushed his cards face down to the muck.

John Hesp bet 3,000 on a {q-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} flop and opponent Daniel Colpoys called.

The river was the {7-Spades} and both players checked. Hesp showed a {k-Hearts}.

"King any good?" asked Hesp.

Colpoys waited for Hesp to show the {j-Clubs} as well.

"Yes," said Colpoys, "But that one wasn't," pointing at the jack and indicating he had {k-}{10-}.
