Joe Hachem
Joe Hachem

After losing another big pot, Joe Hachem was all in and at risk from the button and picked up two callers including Ronald Bernstein in the big blind and Rodney Hurlbut in early position. On the {A-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop, Bernstein moved all in to isolate successfully and the cards were turned over.

Joe Hachem: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Ronald Bernstein: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

Hachem was in need of running cards to avoid elimination and it was all over after the {9-Hearts} turn, making the {6-Clubs} river a formality.

Hegele Making Moves for Another Deep Run

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Robin Hegele came up a few days short of a dream run in 2017 when he finished 27th in the WSOP Main Event.

Hegel returned for Day 2 with 39,000 and did lose about half of his stack before getting some back in a recent pot.

With about 8,000 in the middle and a three-way board reading {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, the player in the big blind bet 5,000 and Hegele shoved for 15,500. The player on the button went into the tank and eventually folded when once again, the clock was needed for this player.

The player in the big blind would fold as well and Hegele was pushed the pot.

Grapenthien Lets One Go

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

With around 6,000 in the middle, Matt Grapenthien was heads-up with Quang Vu who was sitting directly on his right. The dealer spread the flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Vu checked to Grapenthien who bet 3,200. Vu called and the {8-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Vu checked again and Grapenthien tossed in a bet of 5,600 with four cards to a straight on the board. Vu check-raised to 16,500 and Grapenthien sent his cards to the muck almost instantly. After taking another hit to his stack, Grapenthien has fallen to around a 30 big-blind stack.
