Badziakouski Adds Some to His Small Stack

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Mikita Badziakouski opened with a raise to 1,600 from the cutoff and only the player in the big blind called.

The flop was {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and both players checked to the {6-Clubs} on the turn. There the big blind led out with a bet of 1,400. Badziakouski called.

On the {7-Hearts} river, the big blind checked. Badziakouski put out a bet of 2,500 which was roughly 1/3 of his remaining stack and his opponent wasted no time folded. Badziakouski took the pot and chipped up to right around 15,000 chips here before the break.

Touil Recovers Some of His Loss

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante
Samuel Touil
Samuel Touil

Samuel Touil came into the day as the chipleader but has had a rocky start with Jack Salter sitting to his left. The two players have engaged in a few pots with Salter coming out on top. Touil hasn't slowed down the aggression though as he opened to 2,000 from under the gun. The big blind called and the two players went heads-up to a flop of {k-Spades}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs}.

The big blind check-called a bet of 2,500 from Touil and the {6-Hearts} landed on the turn. The big blind checked again and Touil fired another 3,500. His opponent called and the {5-Spades} completed the board. Both players checked and the big blind turned over {a-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Touil tabled {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} for the only pair and raked in the pot.

Van der Peijl Eliminated

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Wouter van der Peijl was eliminated earlier today and was kind enough to recount what had happened:

The player in the small blind limped in and Van der Peijl checked in the big blind with {a-}{a-}.

The flop came {6-}{7-}{10-} rainbow. Van der Peijl bet 5,000 and his opponent check-snap-called with a bit of frustration.

The turn was an offsuit {2-}, Van der Peijl bet 12,000 which was about pot size and his opponent started chatting about how he couldn't fold and after about 30 seconds made the call.

The river was another {a-}, the small blind checked. Van der Peijl commented that it was a pretty bad card for him, that his opponent could have a better hand, but he didn't think so, so Van der Peijl announced all-in for 55,000. His opponent didn't call immediately and started saying things like, no I had you all the way already. And semi-slow-rolled with {8-Spades}{9-Spades} for the flopped straight to eliminate Van der Peijl.

Golan Doubles Through Rheem

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Chino Rheem had consistently built a growing tower in front and raised it up from under the gun. Navot Golan three-bet from one seat over and Rheem simply grabbed into his stack of T-5,000 chips, popped them in only for Golan to snap-call all in.

Navot Golan: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}
Chino Rheem: {A-Clubs}{K-Hearts}

"I am happy with a split pot in this hand, somehow," Rheem said but Golan had locked up the double on the turn of a board {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}.

"I didn't put you on that hand. Maybe queens or the same hand," Rheem added while paying off the 57,700 of Golan. Despite this hefty setback, Rheem is in the profit for the day thus far.

Schumacher Picks Off Urbanovich

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Terry Schumacher in middle position and Dzmitry Urbanovich on the button both checked an {8-Hearts}{k-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, bringing a {10-Diamonds} turn. Schumacher check-called 2,400. On the {6-Diamonds} river, he checked again and Urbanovich bet 3,200. Schumacher thought about 30 seconds and called.

Urbanovich opened {q-Spades}{j-Spades} for a missed straight and Schumacher took it with {10-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Shack-Harris Saves Some Chips

Niveau 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

In a five-way limped pot, the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and all five players elected to check. The {6-Spades} landed on the turn and the action checked to Brandon Shack-Harris in middle position who bet 2,200. The button, small blind, and big blind all folded with the action on Yuval Bronshtein. He started the hand from under the gun and he made the call.

The {10-Spades} on the river paired the board and Bronshtein checked again. Shack-Harris thought for a minute and then tapped the table as well. Bronshtein turned over {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} for a full house and Shack-Harris flashed the {a-Clubs}. Shack-Harris made the wise decision to not bet the river as Bronshtein was waiting in the bushes with a monster hand.
