Brown Eliminates De La Garza Set Over Set

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

JJ De La Garza raised to 9,000 from the hijack and Rob Brown called from the small blind. The big blind called and they went three-handed to the {9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades} flop. It checked to De La Garza who bet 16,000 and Brown called.

They went heads-up to the {q-Hearts} turn and Brown checked. De La Garza tossed out a bet of 25,000 and Brown check-raised all in for 113,000 and De La Garza slid his stack of about 100,000 into the pot.

Brown turned over {9-Clubs}{9-Spades} for a flopped set of nines and it was a cooler for De La Garza who flopped bottom set holding {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. The {k-Clubs} completed the board and De La Garza was eliminated.

Jonathan Hilton opened to 9,000 and Andrew Brown three-bet to 23,000. The action returned to Hilton, and he made it 80,000 to go.

Brown flatted, and when the flop landed {9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}, Hilton bet out 50,000. Brown shoved, and Hilton called all in for 281,500.

Jonathan Hilton: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}
Andrew Brown: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The turn and river landed {3-Diamonds} and {3-Hearts}, and a monster cooler saw Hilton double through to 730,000.

Shortly after, the remaining chips of Brown went to James Obst and he left the table with, "Put my chips to good use, that's all I ask for."

Set-Over-Set Sees Kim Fly

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

On a board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs}{J-Spades}, the small blind led out for roughly a half-pot-size bet of 45,000, and a player in early position called.

With the action on Brian Kim in the hijack, he raised to 109,000. The turn aggressor folded, but the player in the middle called as the river landed the {Q-Hearts}.

"Do you have me covered?" asked Kim's opponent.

Kim motioned his hands away from his chip stack so his opponent could see it.

Kim's opponent checked, then Kim knuckled behind and was shown his opponent's {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. However, it would be Kim's {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a bigger set that would see him collect the pot.

Moorman Bets Into Aces

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Chris Moorman opened from early position and Steve Billirakis three-bet from the hijack. The action folded back to Moorman who made the call and the flop came {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Both players checked and the {4-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Moorman led out for 31,000 and Billirakis called to see the {5-Clubs} complete the board. Moorman sized up another bet of 86,000 and Billirakis instantly tossed in a chip to call. Moorman turned over {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} but it wasn't enough to beat the {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} of Billirakis.

More for Tach

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Farukh Tach raised to 9,000 from mid-position and action folded to the player in the cutoff who three-bet to 32,000. Action folded back to Tach who called.

They both checked through the {7-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} on the flop to the {6-Clubs} on the turn. Tach bet 22,000 and his opponent called.

The river completed the board with the {k-Clubs}, Tach continued with a bet of 68,000, and the cutoff considered her options. After about two minutes, she cut out calling chips and then put them back onto her stack again. Another minute or so later, she opted to fold.

Volpe Folds the Turn

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

There were about 45,000 chips in the pot and the {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop was out when we got to the table. The small blind bet 16,000, Paul Volpe called from the big blind, and a player in middle position raised to 45,000. The small blind folded and Volpe called after brief consideration.

The turn brought the {A-Diamonds} and Volpe checked. His opponent shoved for what looked like 136,500 and Volpe went into the tank. After just under a minute, he folded and his opponent took the pot.
