Barry Hutter Surges into the Chip Lead

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Barry Hutter
Barry Hutter

Following a hijack raise to 18,000, and a call in the cutoff, Barry Hutter three-bet to 65,000 from the button. The initial raiser folded, but the cutoff called as the flop landed {Q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}.

Hutter continued for 50,000, and his opponent check-called as the {4-Spades} rolled off on the turn. Hutter's opponent checked again, and Hutter bet out 125,000 with his opponent again making the call.

The river landed the {K-Hearts}, and after a third check from Hutter's opponent, Hutter announced he was all in for over 2.2 million.

Hutter's opponent snap-called for his 350,000 and tossed in a handful of chips and revealed his {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for trips.

Hutter revealed his {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} for a rivered full house to eliminate his opponent and soar to over 3.1 million in chips.

Chen Makes the Steel Wheel to Double Through Alaei

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Alaei raised from the button and Rotem Chen moved all in for 121,000 from the small blind. Paul Volpe folded his big blind and Alaei quickly called.

Rotem Chen: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Daniel Alaei: {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

The dealer fanned the {10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and it was a monster flop for Chen who picked up a straight flush draw. Alaei picked up an open ended straight draw on the {q-Diamonds} turn and the {2-Clubs} completed the board.

Chen improved to a straight flush on the river to double through Alaei.

Minkin Busts Glazier

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Kelly Minkin - Jackie Glazier
Kelly Minkin - Jackie Glazier

Kelly Minkin's hot run in the Main Event seems to continue, as the ESPN floor and Alexander Lynskey confirmed she had sent Jackie Glazier to the rail. Earlier today, Minkin had tweeted about getting up to a million in chips and she now has even more than that.

According to Lynskey, a three-way flop of {J-}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop was check-raised by Minkin in the big blind and she called the under-the-gun shove of Glazier with {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. The Aussie was ahead until that point with {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} for top pair and inferior flush draw, and the {6-Hearts} turn instantly left Glazier drawing dead.

Scott Davies, who has made the trip to Australia a few times already, remains on the table, while Elizabeth Montizanti was moved next to Minkin.

Fabre Gets Lucky on the River

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Following a raise to 18,000 from early position, Eric Hicks called in late position, as did Mark Zullo in the hijack. The action was on Joey Fabre in the cutoff, and he three-bet to 46,000.

The original raiser, and both Hicks and Zullo all called to see a {J-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{5-Spades} flop. Action checked to Fabre and he bet 60,000 as only the initial raiser called.

The turn fell the {J-Clubs} and after his opponent checked, Fabre bet 110,000. Fabre's opponent called, and then both players checked the {A-Diamonds} on the river.

Fabre tabled his {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} for a rivered aces-up, and his opponent angrily mucked his {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} to relinquish the pot to Fabre.

Kubaliak Leaves Chattaway With Crumbs

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Billy Chattaway and Tomas Kubaliak went to war from the hijack and cutoff, respectively, on {5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. Kubaliak had about 50,000 in front of him and Chattaway had raised to 180,000. Kubaliak shoved all in and Chattaway pushed all his chips in the middle.

Billy Chattaway: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Tomas Kubaliak: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}

Chattaway had plenty of outs, but the {3-Hearts} and {a-Spades} didn't do it for him. He sent 433,000 to his neighbor and was left with 15 big blinds.

Geilich Sends [Removed:550] to the Rail

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante

Ludovic Geilich opened from under the gun and [Removed:532] called from the big blind. The flop came {q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and [Removed:550] checked to Geilich who continued for 24,000. [Removed:550] check-raised all in for 157,000 and Geilich snap-called.

Ludovic Geilich: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
[Removed:532]: {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}

Both players had a flush draw but Geilich had the better holding, although [Removed:550] also had a straight draw. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river was the {q-Spades}. [Removed:550] was unable to hit any of his outs and the ace-high for Geilich proved to be good enough to send [Removed:550] to the rail.

Massey Doubles Through Albertson

Niveau 17 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Ralph Massey
Ralph Massey

Ralph Massey raised to 18,000 from middle position and Cory Albertson reraised to 36,000 from the hijack. Martin Zamani called from the big blind and with the action back on Massey he moved all in for 283,000. Albertson re-shoved all in for over a million and Zamani folded.

"I didn't come here to fold" said Albertson turning over {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and Massey showed {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}. The board ran out clean for Massey {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Spades} and his ace queen high was enough to earn him the double up.
