Pyne Collides With Dyer

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

James Obst opened the action with a raise to 235,000 from under the gun. To his left, Ricky Pyne three-bet to 655,000. Michael Dyer four-bet to 2,400,000 in middle position and everyone folded to Pyne. He gave it some thought before calling, already creating a pot of 5 million before the first community cards were even dealt.

The flop was {K-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Spades} and Pyne check-folded to a 2,000,000 bet from Dyer.

Drokin Doubles Through Bercovici with a Miracle River

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Volodymyr Drokin
Volodymyr Drokin

Volodymyr Drokin moved all in from the cutoff with a shove for 1,240,000. Action folded to the small blind where Hari Bercovici called. The big blind folded so it was off to the races.

Hari Bercovici: {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}
Volodymyr Drokin: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The flop was as exciting as it could possibly be when it came {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} giving Drokin bottom set but giving Bercovici the nut straight. The turn was the {4-Hearts} which changed nothing, but the river was the {10-Spades} pairing the board and keeping Drokin alive for a bit longer as he made a full house to survive.

Double Knockout Vaults Labat into The Lead

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante
Brent Ballentine & Antoine Labat
Brent Ballentine & Antoine Labat

Michael Fail raised to 210,000 from early position and Alex Lynskey called on the button. Brent Ballentine moved all in for 1,435,000 in the small blind, and Antoine Labat in the big blind asked for a count, then announced the call. Feil moved all in for just over 7.5 million to force an instant fold from Lynskey. Labat called in a heart beat.

Brent Ballentine: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Michael Feil: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Antoine Labat: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}

"This is so sick," queens versus kings and aces, Feil said when he flashed his own cards high for his rail to see. The board came {J-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and the stacks were counted. Labat had more than 8 million in chips, thus confirming a double knockout and vaulting the Frenchman into the top spot.

Souza Doubles Through Pollak

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 15,000 ante

Ivan Luca opened the action with a raise to 215,000 from the cutoff before Benjamin Pollak three-bet to 730,000 from the small blind. Ricardo Souza was in the big blind and moved all in for 1.8 million. Luca quickly folded and Pollak needed a couple of minutes to think before he called.

Benjamin Pollak: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Ricardo Souza: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Board: {a-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{2-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades}

When the ace hit the flop to give Souza the lead, there was a loud cheer from the main stage. And when the board completed and Souza won the hand, the cheers erupted once more as he moved up to 3.9 million.

Alexander Haro was celebrating a double when we arrived at his table. Randall Lack was less than pleased with the outcome, having made trips with {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} on the turn. He paid off 4,355,000 in the end, with about 2.5 million having already been in the pot.
