Haro Doubles Through Fletcher

Niveau 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Alexander Haro
Alexander Haro

Alexander Haro opened with a raise to 350,000 and he met a three-bet from Clayton Fletcher to 1,030,000. Action folded back to Haro and he moved all in for roughly 4,600,000. Action was back on Fletcher and he called bringing the two players to a showdown.

Clayton Fletcher: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Alexander Haro: {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The board ran out {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades}{A-Spades}{5-Hearts} and that gave Haro two pair and allowed him to double up, leaving Clayton as one of the shortest stacks at the table.

Jan Mach Eliminated in 40th Place ($189,165)

Jan Mach
Jan Mach

Jan Mach shoved all in for 1,860,000 in early position and Aram Zobian made it 3.5 million in the small blind. Artem Metalidi thought for about a minute and then shoved all in from the big. Zobian was in there immediately for what looked to be about 10 million.

Aram Zobian: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Artem Metalidi: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Jan Mach: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

"Good game, guys," Zobian said confidently.

However, the {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{j-Spades} brought him nothing. He asked for a ten for a sweat but the {5-Clubs} was a brick. The {7-Hearts} river likewise and Metalidi's stack was counted down and determined to be 10,435,000.

Benjamin Pollak
Benjamin Pollak

Ryan Phan raised to 350,000 from under the gun, and Benjamin Pollak defended his big blind. The flop came down {6-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}, and Pollak check-called a 425,000 bet from Phan.

The {j-Diamonds} fell on the turn, and Pollak checked. Phan bet around 1.6m, enough to put Pollak all in and the Frenchman called.

Ryan Phan: {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Benjamin Pollak: {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Pollak was drawing dead as Phan held two pair. The insignificant river card was put down and last year's Main Event third-place finisher Pollak saw his 2018 deep run come to an end after he took 42nd place for $189,165.

Barry Hutter raised to 350,000 from the hijack and Kerry Bell called from the big blind.

The flop came down {J-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} and Bell checked to Hutter who continued for 300,000. Bell called, the {7-Diamonds} turn fell and both players checked. The river was the {J-Hearts} and Bell jammed for 1,555,000.

After Hutter confirmed the count, he took about 40 seconds before he called.

Bell nodded his head to Hutter's call and showed {Q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Hutter tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} for jacks and sevens to eliminate Bell in 43rd place.

Hecklen Caught Bluffing

Niveau 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Aram Zobian made it 380,000 to go first to act and was called by Jeff Trudeau and Henrik Hecklen in the big blind. On the {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, and the {8-Clubs} turn all three players checked. The {8-Spades} on the river paired the board and Hecklen bet 1,100,000, which forced a fold from Zobian.

Trudeau gave it some thought and called to get shown {6-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a bluff by Hecklen, claiming the pot with his {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} for queens and eights.

Niveau 30 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante
Yueqi Zhu
Yueqi Zhu

Yueqi Zhu opened from early position with a raise to 350,000 and he was called by John Cynn in the cutoff and Nirath Rean in the big blind.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and Rean led out with a bet of 500,000. Zhu raised to 1,113,000 and Cynn quickly folded. Rean called to see the turn.

The turn was the {7-Clubs} and Rean checked. Zhu put out a bet of 1,500,000 and Rean called again.

The river was the {10-Diamonds} and Rean checked again. Zhu now moved all in for 1,520,000. Rean tanked it over for a good while but eventually, he called. Rean showed down his {9-Spades}{8-Hearts} but it was no good. Zhu held {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts} and his two pair was superior and allowed him to double up to 9,600,000 while Rean continued to slide after the dinner break.
