Escobar Felted After AK and Jacks Lose Back to Back

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

It's curtains for Guillermo Escobar, eliminated in short order after losing a cool match-up vs. aces and then a big flip in back to back hands. First up, big blind Jacob Reiland three-bet and Escobar took the plunge with {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} preflop. He was up against {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} - apparently the second time Reiland had picked up the preflop nuts in this position.

The board: {2-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}.

"I would have got it in on the flop anyway," said Escobar.

"I told you we should have given him a walk," noted a tablemate, as Reiland shook out his sleeves as if to dislodge the reappearing bullets.

The very next hand Escobar moved all in preflop for 240,000 with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} and found Robert McLauglin reshoving to isolate him with {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}. The board came out without paint - but a four-flush in hearts gave McLauglin the pot.

Razavi Busts Badolato By a Kicker

Niveau 25 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

The chips got in the middle pre-flop, Samad Razavi being in late position and David Badolato in the big blind. Badolato was the one at risk for roughly 150,000.

Samad Razavi: {a-Hearts}{8-Spades}
David Badolato: {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}

The flop was {j-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}, giving Badolato a gutshot straight draw to go with his five to hit, and the turn was the {k-Clubs}, picking up a flush draw as well. The river {10-Hearts} was a brick though, and he went sent to the rail by three pips on a kicker.

Fennell Puts His Opponent in the Tank

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Benny Chen raised under-the-gun to 65,000, Michael Fennell called next to act and the action folded around to the big blind who made the call.

The flop fell {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Hearts}, and both the big blind and Chen checked to Fennell who moved his whole stack in the middle. The big blind thought about it for 30-seconds before asking for a count and finding out it was 345,000. He proceeded to tank for a full four minutes, counting out 345,000 and eying his remaining stack, but eventually found the fold and Chen mucked fast behind him.

Musumano Makes the Wheel

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Jordan Musumano has doubled up to over a million chips after getting it in against an un-ID'd opponent with {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} on a flop of {2-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. His opponent had flopped two pair with {a-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} but the turn brought the {4-Hearts} to make a straight for Musumano. The river {q-Clubs} was a brick; Musumano's opponent was left with just 20,000 - two thirds of a big blind.

"I've got you guys where I want you now," he quipped, his four 5,000 value chips looking at risk shortly.

Punchkov Flops a Full House

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

All the chips went in the middle on a {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop and James Dempsey was at risk against Konstantin Puchkov for 240,000.

Konstantin Puchkov: {a-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
James Dempsey: {a-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Puchkov flopped a full house but Dempsey still had a chance to hit any of his side cards to make a full house. The turn {q-Diamonds} and the river {3-Clubs} was not what he was looking for though and was sent to the payout cage.

Deep Tank Visit for Hershey

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante
Caleb Hershey
Caleb Hershey

No-Limit Hold'em

One of the start-of-day chip leaders, Caleb Hershey, was put to a decision on the river of a {8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Spades} board by Gregory Kolo. With around 330,000 already in the pot, Hershey had led out for 125,000 and been raised to 365,000. An unblinking staredown followed, as Hershey counted out calling chips then riffled some 25,000 ones while considering his options. Kolo had 600,000 behind, Hershey 1.4 million. Hershey laid his hand down.

Elsewhere David Rutledge and Walter Treccarichi have busted, the latter moving his short stack all in under the gun with {10-Clubs}{j-Spades} and finding William Corvino willing to give him a spin with what turned out to be a dominating {q-Spades}{10-Spades}.

Ramos Wins a Flip

Niveau 24 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

No-Limit Holdem

The action began with the hijack raising to 85,000, Felipe Ramos shipped all of his chips in the middle and Timothy Vukson re-shoved all in over the top, and the hijack folded.

Felipe Ramos: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Timothy Vukson: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}

The flop came {k-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{q-Spades}, putting Ramos in the lead with a pair of kings, the turn was the {k-Diamonds} improving Ramos to trips, and the river was an inconsequential {2-Hearts} giving Ramos the pot with trip kings ace kicker.
