Odeen's Cowboys Shoot Down Lappin

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Jerry Odeen opened from the cutoff to 21,000 and David Kilmartin Lappin three-bet from the small blind to 98,000. Odeen shoved all in for what was only the effective 30,000 or so that Lappin had behind after three-betting.

Another player at the table asked how many people were left and it was confirmed there were 58, two eliminations away from the next pay jump with 56 players remaining. When the floor confirmed, the player asked for a clock. The floorman asked if Lappin had had sufficient enough time and the table agreed yes.

Lappin then asked how long and was told a couple minutes. He said he had not had a couple minutes. Another player at the table said he wanted to call clock on him earlier, but due to the fact that it was prior to his three-bet, it was ruled he did not have sufficient enough time to act on his most recent decision to call off the rest of his chips.

The floor told him he would give him another minute or so before enacting the 30 second timer and it didn't take long once the countdown began for Lappin to call.

Jerry Odeen: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
David Kilmartin Lappin: {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The board ran out {9-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} and Lappin was eliminated from the tournament without making it to the next pay level.

Fisher Knocks One Out

Niveau 19 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

A player from the cutoff shoved all in for his last 87,000 and was called by Paul Fisher in the big blind.

Paul Fisher: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Opponent: {a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}

The flop {3-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{9-Spades} resulted in a chuckle among the table as Fisher's opponent hit his three outer to take the lead in the hand. The turn came {9-Diamonds}, giving Fisher more outs to either a counterfeited two pair or a chop. The river was the {j-Diamonds}, resulting in Fisher hitting his jack kicker to make jacks up over his opponent's nines up and send him to the rail.
