Chip Counts Nearing Money Bubble

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

The tournament clock reads 195 players remaining, just seven away from the field making it into the money. Here are a few chip counts from around the room.

The action folded around to the small blind who raised to 9,000 and Noah Bronstein three-bet all-in for 25,800 and the small blind called.

Noah Bronstein: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Small Blind: {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} giving Bronstein top two pair to double up.

Greenwood Sends One Home

Niveau 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Rodrigo Maclean opened to 4,500 from the hijack to start a string of raises. Second up was Lucas Greenwood, who three-bet to 28,500 which was the size of the pot. Matthew Stone was on the button and confirmed a pot-sized cold four-bet to 98,000.

Maclean thought for a bit and declared he was folding "a beauty."

Greenwood then reraised to put Stone all in and Stone was right there, ready and waiting to commit the remainder of his chips.

Matthew Stone: {a-Hearts}{a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades}
Lucas Greenwood: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

Greenwood hit gin when the flop fell {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{10-Spades}. The turn and river fell {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and Stone found himself felted while Greenwood took down the pot, discussing his hand with Maclean afterward.

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a flop of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds} with about 10,000 in the middle, Nicolas Hans check-called a bet of 7,500 from Kenny Hallaert.

The turn was the {5-Clubs} Hans checked again and Hallaert put a stack of 5,000 chips. Hans quickly put the rest of his chips in the middle for 29,000.

Kenny Hallaert: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Nicolas Hans: {a-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Niveau 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Palmer Doubles Through Woodward

Niveau 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Mark Gregorich opened from early position to 5,500 and received calls from a player in middle position as well as both Josh Palmer in the hijack and Matthew Woodward in the cutoff.

The flop came {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Gregorich and the player in middle position checked. Palmer bet 15,000 and Woodward raised to 70,000. Action folded back to Palmer and he stuck in his remaining chips of less than a full three-bet which Woodward called.

Josh Palmer: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Matthew Woodward: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Spades}

Woodward was ahead with the nut straight and had a flush draw to go with it, while Palmer was in need of improvement for his set of nines. Luckily for him, the turn and river came {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} to fill up a backdoor flush and secure the double, leaving Woodward on crumbs.
