Hall's Straight Gets Paid

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Galen Hall
Galen Hall

On a board of {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{8-Diamonds} there was already roughly 22,000 in the pot when Galen Hall's opponent checked to him and he bet out 15,000 which the opponent called.

The river was the {9-Spades} and after the opponent checked once again he bet out, this time for 28,000 and his opponent went into the tank for a solid minute before making the call. Hall tabled {q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for a straight to the ten and his opponent mucked his hand.

Another player on the table joked, "Ah straight-flush draw, I'm actually surprised you didn't get it."

Hall chuckled and replied, "Me too."

On a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, Randall Emmett had Kevin Stern at risk with {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} versus {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}.

"I can feel it coming for sure. Jackkkkk," Emmett announced. He then asked for the {j-Diamonds} or the {a-Diamonds}, but his wish wasn't granted with the {8-Clubs} turn and {3-Spades} river run out. Stern doubled for more than 40,000 and Emmett was cut down to a mere 10 big blinds.

Becker Up and Out in Quick Fashion

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante
Johannes Becker
Johannes Becker

Rachid Amamou limped first to act and Johannes Becker did so from the cutoff. The button min-raised to 4,000 and the big blind called, as did Amamou and Becker. On the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop all four players checked and Amamou bet the {k-Hearts} turn for 17,000, Becker called. The button shoved for 25,800 and the big blind let go, Amamou and Becker called.

After the {4-Diamonds} river, Amamou check-called the shove of Becker for 23,900 with the words "I know I am behind, but I have to call."

Becker turned over {k-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a full house, the button had {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} for the nut straight and Amamou mucked the {q-Clubs} for trips queens.

However, only a few minutes later Becker was on his way out of the tournament area. Amamou confirmed he had felted the German with aces versus kings, Becker failed to catch a king or hearts flush draw.
