2019 World Series of Poker
The board read , a pot of about 175,000 was in the middle. Ngon Hoang was facing a decision for his tournament life as big stack Sasha Liu put him to the ultimate test with a river all in bet.
Hoang hemmed and hawed, seemingly very torn over the decision. "Show if I fold?" he asked, to which Liu replied "What?" as if she did not hear the question.
"If you have to think this long...." said Liu, "I have something I can call with" replied Hoang. He thought it over for about 30 more seconds, checked the tournament clock, before spiking his remaining stack forward to indicate a call.
Liu turned over and Hoang triumphantly flipped over his for the winning second pair. He jumped up from the table in relief and pumped his fist as his tournament was still alive and now with a substantial stack. Liu took the hit to her stack well, as she still sits with over a million.
