Day 2 of Event #17: $400 PLOSSUS [Bounty, Final Day], $1M GTD saw just under nine hours of Pot-Limit Omaha get played, and after the dust settled, Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz emerged victorious over the 584 returning players to take home a first place prize of $152,165, all for a mere $400 investment here at the 2021 GGPoker WSOP Online Festival. Below you will see how the action packed final table broke down.

At the start of the day 2 finals, it was six time WSOP bracelet winner Daniel Negreanu who held the chip lead. He would ride that big stack all the way to a 23rd place finish, earning over $8,900 for his finish. Other notables who finished in the top 100 included Mikhail Semin (93rd), Anton Morgenstern (76th), Nick Maimone (59th), Toby Lewis (45th), and recent WSOP bracelet winner Renan Bruschi (25th).

When the final table started, it was eventual runner up Yuri "sjeverest" Suvorov who held the chip lead, while Livshitz was actually one of the shorter stacks. However, Livshitz quickly went to work, knocking out short stack Shihhui Wang in seventh place.

Livshitz would then score a nice double up, before keeping the knockouts rolling. First, he would flop a straight to best the aces in the hole held by Lasse Enojarvi. Not long after that, he would eliminate one of the most accomplished players at the final table, Niklas Astedt, in fifth place.

Idris Ambraisse would be the next player to hit the exit, and his knockout was courtesy of Suvorov. From there, three handed play would last quite a while, with all three players getting close in chips before Livshitz pulled ahead once again.

Livshitz would score the knockout blow of Shengchao Zhu, when his aces held up against the flush draw and full house outs of Zhu, and that would get play to heads up, which would only last a few minutes. In the end, it was aces again that would do the trick for Livshitz, earning him his first ever WSOP bracelet.

Congratulations again to Gaby Livshitz, who earned a total of $152,165, and his first ever WSOP gold bracelet. Don't forget that the bracelet events aren't close to stopping yet, and you can view the remaining schedule in the table below. Good night everyone!

Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov Eliminated in 2nd Place ($62,374 + $28,863)

Blinds: 800,000/1,600,000

Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov had just tried to pull off a check raise bluff on the river, but Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz picked him off with a set of fives. This pot left Suvorov with just 27 million chips, and those would go all in on the next hand. First, Survorov would raise to 4,000,000, and Livshitz would three bet to over 13,000,000. Suvorov called, and after the flop came down {k-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Suvorov would call the rest of his stack off after Livshitz bet pot.

Suvorov held {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and would need to catch up, as he was trailing the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Spades} of Livshitz. The board would finish out with two more sevens, giving Livshitz the better of the two full houses.

Suvorov will take home just under $90,000 for his second place showing, but the WSOP gold bracelet, and a first place payday of $152,165, will be going home with Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz.

Please stay tuned for a full recap of this $400 PLOSSUS Event!

Shengchao "szhu" Zhu Eliminated in 3rd Place ($43,646 + $8,672)

Blinds: 800,000/1,600,000

Shengchao "szhu" Zhu would get his final chips in the middle following a flop of {j-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. Zhu showed {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} for a flush draw and some full house outs, and was virtually flipping against the {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Clubs} of Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz. The {6-Spades} turn and {3-Hearts} river didn't change a thing, and with that pot, we are now heads up!

Zhu Shoves it in on the Flop

Blinds: 700,000/1,400,000

Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz raised to 4,200,000, and Shengchao "szhu" Zhu put in a three bet to 12,400,000. Livshitz called, but after the flop of {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}, he was forced to check fold after Zhu moved all in for over 18,000,000.

Zhu would then take a nice pot from Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov, and just like that, the stacks are once again starting to even out in this three handed battle.

Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov Doubles Into the Chip Lead

Blinds: 600,000/1,200,000

Chip leader Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz raised to 3,600,000, and Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov reraised in the big blind to over 11 million. Livshitz called, and after the flop came down {j-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}, Suvorov quickly bet pot of over 23 million. Livshitz put him all in, and Suvorov quickly called to create a pot of over 87 million chips.

Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Suvorov was in great shape to double up, and he would do just that, as the board finished out {7-Diamonds} and {3-Hearts}.

Idris Ambraisse Eliminated in 4th Place ($30,501 + $13,439)

Blinds: 600,000/1,200,000

Idris Ambraisse raised to 2,400,000, and next to act, Yuri “sjeverest” Suvorov reraised to 8,400,000. Back to Ambraisse now, he would four bet shove for just over 24,000,000, a bet that was for nearly all of Suvorov's stack.

The Russian thought for quite some time before calling with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}, while Ambraisse showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}. The flop of {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} gave Ambraisse a world of outs, and while the {9-Clubs} turn changed nothing, the {j-Spades} river changed everything.

With that, just three players remain, all of whom are looking for their first WSOP bracelet!

Niklas Astedt Eliminated in 5th Place ($21,315 + $13,750)

Niklas Astedt
Niklas Astedt

Niklas Astedt got his short stack all in preflop holding {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}, and he was up against the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades} of Gaby "kidrurim" Livshitz. The flop of {8-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} paired up Livshitz, and a queen on the turn gave him an unbeatable two pair.

With this knockout, Livshitz has extended his chip lead. He now has nearly half the chips in play four handed.
