Ten Players Return for the Bracelet Battle in Event #16: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship

At 2 p.m. local time, the final table of Event #16: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship will resume play with ten players remaining to battle it out for a bigger share of the $857,900 prize pool. They have all secured at least $18,506 but are all targeting the first-place prize of $245,680 and the gold WSOP bracelet that comes with it.

Many stars of the poker world came to play but in the end it would beJohn Racener to lead the pack into the final day. He bagged 1,090,000 in chips last night and was the only player to cross the 1-million mark. Following him is Day 1 chip leader Eric Kurtzman with 975,000 while Jason Somerville rounds out the top three with 670,000.

This is a stacked final table, so be sure to follow the action, with Scott Tuttle, Kevin Song, Nate Silver, Terrence Chan, Ray Dekharghani, John Monnette, and Christopher Chung joining the aforementioned chip leaders in today's battle. Silver may be the most well-known player for the general audience, he is a well-known author, statistician, and poker aficionado. The FiveThirtyEight.com founder will be one to watch on the final day.

Christopher Chung raised it up in early position and was called by Kevin Song in middle position. John Racener three-bet in the hijack and the action folded back to Chung who called along with Song.

The three players saw a flop of {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Chung led out with a bet. Song and Racener both called to see the {7-Clubs} on the turn. Chung fired out another bet and Song folded this time. Racener thought for a brief moment but also decided to lay his hand down.

The flop came {10-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}, it was checked to Somerville who continued with a bet which only made Racener fold.

The turn was the {k-Diamonds} and Chan bet. Both Somerville and Kurtzman called.

The river completed the board with the {9-Hearts} and Chan bet again. He was called by both opponents for the last time. Chan tabled the {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for the Broadway and Somerville showed the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for the same hand while Kurtzman mucked his.

Tuttle Moves Into the Lead

John Racener raised in middle position and was three-bet by Scott Tuttle on his left. The action came back to Racener who called to see a flop of {a-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Racener check-called the flop and the both players checked the {a-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Tuttle showed {k-Spades}{k-Hearts} to win the pot.

A couple of hands later, Tuttle raised from middle position and Eric Kurtzman re-raised out of the small blind. Tuttle called and the dealer spread the flop of {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}. Kurtzman continued with a bet and Tuttle raised which Kurtzman called.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and Kurtzman checked to Tuttle who fired another bet. Kurtzman still called and the {8-Diamonds} landed on the river. Kurtzman checked again and Tuttle checked it back, opening {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} to win another pot.
