Grospellier Sends Zinno Home

Niveau 11
Elky Grospellier
Elky Grospellier

Anthony Zinno opened from the cutoff and was called by Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier out of the big blind.

Grospellier took one card to Zinno's two on the first draw before checking to the initial raiser. Zinno threw out a bet and Grospellier made the call to send the two players heads-up to the second draw.

On the second draw both players took just one card after which Grospellier took the betting lead. Zinno responded with a raise and was met by a re-raise from Grospellier. Zinno called off for his tournament life but before he indicated how many cards he was going to take, Grospellier turned over {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the wheel. Zinno turned over {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and discarded his fifth card, needing to find one of the three remaining fives to chop the pot and survive. He could not find any help, however, turning over {j-} to end his tournament shy of the money.

Elsewhere, Kane Kalas and David Prociak were seen exiting the tournament area.

Ausmus Find Value

Niveau 11

Jeremy Ausmus opened under the gun and faced a three-bet from Mikhail Zlotnik out of the small blind. Ausmus responded with a four-bet which Zlotnik called.

On the first draw both players took one card. Zlotnik then led into the four-bettor, who flatted.

The second draw saw Zlotnik stand pat and Ausmus take another card. Zlotnik continued his aggression with another bet but Ausmus, after asking if there was another draw to come, made the call.

Zlotnik stood pat again on the final draw and Ausmus for a third time drew one card. Zlotnik checked, Ausmus bet and Zlotnik called. "Eight-Seven", announced Ausmus as he turned over {8-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. "You bet that?", queried Zlotnik as he threw his hand into the muck. "People don't like it when you bet eight-seven", Ausmus joked to Andrew Brown to his left as he raked in a large pot.

Aldemir Doubles Through Benyamine

Niveau 12

Koray Aldemir opened from middle position and was called by David Benyamine in the cutoff and the player in the big blind.

On the first draw the big blind player took three, Aldemir stood pat and Benyamine drew two. The big blind then checked to Aldemir, who continued. Benyamine responded with a raise, which was enough to force the big blind out of the hand and send the action back to Aldemir, who opted to re-raise. Benyamine made the call to send the two remaining players heads-up to the second draw.

Both players stood pat during the second draw after which Aldemir bet and Benyamine called.

The final draw saw them each stand pat once again. Aldemir moved all in for his remaining 6,000 and Benyamine snap called. Aldemir turned over {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, good enough for the double up.
