Richard Ashby just sent Johannes Becker to the rail, and Calvin Anderson was all in on the next hand.

Action was on the second draw with Jon Shoreman and Ashby drawing one, with the all-in Anderson calling two.

Shoreman check-called and all three players drew one.

Both players checked. Ashby tapped the table as Shoreman tabled {9-}{8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}. Ashby mucked, but the dealer turned over {8-}{8-}{4-}{3-}{2-} as all hands must be exposed with an all in.

Anderson said that he had broken a jack on the third draw, and showed {8-}{5-}{3-}{2-} and was drawing live. However, he paired with another {5-} and was eliminated.

Stephan stood pat again and both players checked.

"I'm even money at an eight," said Hellmuth, sweating his final card. "I paired."

"I threw an eight away!" he said. "It's alright, I came here to win."

Grospellier Sends Zinno Home

Niveau 11
Elky Grospellier
Elky Grospellier

Anthony Zinno opened from the cutoff and was called by Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier out of the big blind.

Grospellier took one card to Zinno's two on the first draw before checking to the initial raiser. Zinno threw out a bet and Grospellier made the call to send the two players heads-up to the second draw.

On the second draw both players took just one card after which Grospellier took the betting lead. Zinno responded with a raise and was met by a re-raise from Grospellier. Zinno called off for his tournament life but before he indicated how many cards he was going to take, Grospellier turned over {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the wheel. Zinno turned over {7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and discarded his fifth card, needing to find one of the three remaining fives to chop the pot and survive. He could not find any help, however, turning over {j-} to end his tournament shy of the money.

Elsewhere, Kane Kalas and David Prociak were seen exiting the tournament area.
