Jour 2 terminé
After ten hours of play, Day 2 of the 2022 World Series of Poker Event #36: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better has come to a close.
The United States' Chris Papastratis ended the day as the runaway chip leader, bagging and tagging a stack of 3.2 million when all was said and done.
Trialling behind him are Kenny Hsiung (1,560,000) and four-time WSOP bracelet winner Jeff Madsen (1,340,000), who also round out the top three chip stacks.
The event saw a total of 471 entries, which generated a prize pool of $628,785. Of those initial entries, just 152 players returned for Day 2. That figure was slashed down to just 15 players, who will all be eyeing the $135,260 first-place prize and the WSOP gold bracelet.
The big story of the day was the bubble bursting. Ali Eslami, who is still in contention, eliminated David McGivney to put the tournament in the money. The top 71 players were paid, and they all locked up a min-cash of $2,421.
Notable players who fell short of cashing included James Woods, Mike Matusow. Allen Kessler and Alex Livingston.
However, the likes of Michael Mizrachi (71st - $2,421), Max Pescatori (61st - $2,421), Angela Jordison (51st - $2,647) and Barry Greenstein (45th - $3,026) all managed to get a return on their investment.
The players will return to Bally's Events Centre on Saturday, June 17 at 1 p.m. PDT to battle it out for the first-place prize and WSOP gold bracelet. Play will resume on Level 26 with Limits at 40,000/80,000/10,000a.
Day 3 is the final day of the event, and a winner will be crowned when the dust settles.

Gary Benson: //
Jon Kyte: //
Gary Benson and Jon Kyte got into a pre-draw raising battle which ended up with Benson all in and at risk for his tournament life.
Somehow, both players started with aces, but Benson had a king kicker to be in the lead. However, by sixth street he was behind as his opponent had made two pair.
Benson could not improve on the river and exited the tournament late on Day 2.
