Day 2 started with 22 players and several short stacks trying to spin it up early. Early casualties included Yuri Dzivielevski, Maxx Coleman, Eugene Katchalov, Matt Glantz, and Shaun Deeb.

Bryce Yockey started the day at the top of the leaderboard but took some big hits early. He rode the rollercoaster all day, but steadied the ship to make it to Day 4, ending today with 1,290,000.

Speaking of comebacks, Craig Chait found himself with 65,000 chips yesterday at the final three tables redraw. After nearly two full days of play, he was just above starting stack. Going into Day 4 tomorrow, he has an impressive 1,245,000 and has nearly eight big bets to work with.

Paul Sokoloff was the player eliminated in sixth place to bubble tomorrow's final day stream. At one point he was down to 20,000 chips after taking a big hit when he made trips in a big Razz hand. He hung around for hours after that, though, refusing to give away his chips until the last hand of the evening.

Omaha Hi-Lo

Craig Chait limped the button and Paul Sokoloff was all-in for 30,000 in the small blind, John Racener checked in the big blind. Both active players checked down the entire board of {9-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and it was time to reveal the cards.

Racener had the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{j-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a low, Chait tabled {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} for a flush and the {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} of Sokoloff was scooped to end the end of the Brit in 6th place for a payday of $80,523. This ends Day 3 and the last five players now bag and tag their chips.

They will be back tomorrow on the main feature table, also called the Thunderdome, as they determine a champion as of 4 p.m. local time. All final counts and a recap of today's action are to follow.

Racener Forces Fold From Yockey; Sokoloff Needs a Miracle

Niveau 24 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

After Limit Hold'em brought no massive chip changes, the game type moved to Omaha Hi-Lo and John Racener raised from under the gun, Bryce Yockey called on the button and Paul Sokoloff called in the big blind with exactly 30,000 behind.

Sokoloff checked to Racener on the {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, who bet and Yockey called. Sokoloff studied his cards several times and sigh-folded, now certain to be forced all-in the very next hand. The turn was the {k-Spades} and before both players had checked, the dealer burned and exposed the {7-Clubs} river.

The floor was called and the card remained exposed as Racener then check-raised a bet by Yockey, which sent the latter into agony before he called. Now required to be pulled into the remaining deck and shuffled twice, the seven disappeared and the new river card was the {10-Diamonds}.

Racener quickly bet and more agony for Yockey followed. He thought about it for more than three minutes and even mentioned "I should have checked the turn" before he let it go.

Sokoloff Back in the Danger Zone

Niveau 24 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo

Andrew Yeh: {x-}{x-} / {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Bryce Yockey: {x-}{x-} / {5-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} folded on fourth
Paul Sokoloff: {x-}{x-} / {8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts} folded on fifth

Andrew Yeh bet fourth street to force a fold from Bryce Yockey while Paul Sokoloff stuck around with a low board. The action on fifth street was checked by Sokoloff and Yeh bet, sending his opponent into the think tank.

After going through the hand for around a minute, Sokoloff opted to get out of the way.

Long Wins Bigger Pot Off Chait

Niveau 24 : 80,000/160,000, 0 ante

Seven Card Stud

Philip Long: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} / {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Craig Chait: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} / {x-}

Philip Long completed with a queen and was called by Craig Chait. What followed was fourth street on which Long bet his lead and received a call for Chait to then pick up an ace and bet, earning a call from Long.

On sixth, Chait check-called a bet and they checked seventh. "You got it," Chait said and didn't table his cards. Long showed a pair of tens and that won the pot.

"One more bullet," Chait sighed and both discussed the hand briefly. Long replied he would have called another bet on sixth and things may have only changed if Chait had held the ace of spades and not hearts.

Long Forces Yockey to Fold Open Jacks

Seven Card Stud

Bryce Yockey: {x-}{x-}/{j-Hearts}{j-Spades} - folded fourth street
Philip Long: {x-}{x-}/{4-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Philip Long completed showing a four before Bryce Yockey put in the second bet showing a jack. Long made the call.

Yockey hit what looked to be a great card when he paired his jack on fourth and he bet. Even so, Long went for the raise when he hit his ace.

Yockey thought for about a minute before tossing his cards into the muck.

"You just have wired aces again?" asked Yockey.

Long nodded that he did.

"I mean, I just had jacks. But you can't raise there," as Yockey was confident he made the right fold.

Razz

Craig Chait: {a-}{5-} / {7-}{j-}{6-}{j-} / {q-}
Paul Sokoloff: {2-}{7-} / {4-}{8-}{6-}{10-} / {2-}

Bryce Yockey completed with an eight and Craig Chait made it three bets with a seven. Paul Sokoloff made it four bets with a four and Yockey mulled it over. "How much do you have behind?" he asked Sokoloff and then folded while Chait called. Sokoloff bet the superior board on fourth to get called and his all-in for 75,000 on fifth was also called by Chait.

Sixth street wasn't kind to Chait as he paired the jack and caught more paint on seventh to see Sokoloff claim yet another double-up.
