Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Ali Eslami opened from under the gun and called a three-bet from Dario Sammartino in the next position.

Eslami showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Clubs} for aces up and a low, with Sammartino taking the high with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}

Daher Doubles Through Ivey; Mizrachi Adds More Chips

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

On a flop of {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, Albert Daher was all-in for 69,500 and looked up by Phil Ivey with the superior stack.

Albert Daher: {a-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Phil Ivey: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Spades}

The {a-Diamonds} turn and {a-Spades} river kept Daher in contention as he doubled with a set of aces.

Shortly after, a preflop limped pot between Daher and Michael Mizrachi culminated in the {q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades} river. Daher bet 37,000 and Mizrachi called to get flashed the {q-Spades}{9-Spades} for queens and nines, which he had beat with the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} for aces and fives.

Bad Day In the Office for Vieira

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Joao Vieira
Joao Vieira

The seat of Joao Vieira was empty and Julien Martini had been moved over to balance as just four players had remained there. It was a steady decline for the mixed game specialist from Portugal throughout a day and he was left with fumes in a Razz hand.

His {2-}{k-}{a-}{a-} open board was raised by Matthew Ashton on fifth street when he ended up with the {9-}{7-}{q-}{2-} to then bet sixth and seventh. Vieira called once and tank-folded seventh.

Down to the last 16,000, Vieira caught no miracle but trips fives instead and the ten-nine of Freddy Deeb was more than enough to claim the pot.

Kenney Chips Up With Trips

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Limit Hold'em

Bryn Kenney defended the big blind and then check-raised the {6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop against Rob Hollink. He was called by the Dutchman to bet the {7-Spades} turn and {10-Clubs} river as Hollink reluctantly called. Kenney tabled the {9-Clubs}{6-Spades} for trips sixes and that won the pot.

David Bach has dropped to a severe short stack on the same table while Christopher Chung and Ian O'Hara were ousted on neighbouring tables.

Racener Bests Brewer

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Stud Hi-Lo

John Racener: {x-}{x-} / {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} / {x-}
Chris Brewer: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} / {x-}

Action was on seventh street with plenty of chips in the middle between John Racener and Chris Brewer. Brewer was facing a bet from Racener, and he eventually called.

"Flush," announced Racener tabling {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Spades} and Brewer mucked.

Yoon Flops a Straight and Has to Settle for Chop

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

There were already some 155,000 in the middle with the turn showing {10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{j-Clubs} turn on which Brian Yoon checked in the cutoff. Adam Friedman eventually knuckled it back while Andrew Kelsall was standing away from the table and discussed the hand with a friend. "This is an interesting hand, it was three-bet preflop," Kelsall almost whispered.

The {7-Spades} on the river was then also checked through and Yoon pointed to the board before revealing the {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} for a flopped straight that suddenly played the board. Friedman tabled the {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and they chopped it up.

Monnette Eliminated by Bronshtein

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
John Monnette
John Monnette

Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Yuval Bronshtein had raised and then called the three-bet shove by John Monnette for 68,500. Both discarded one and the dealer burned already, which sent Monnette into a frenzy.

"What are you doing, the cards are supposed to go up! It is in the TDA rules" he demanded. That's when the dealer by mistake flipped over the {6-Hearts} which happened to be the discard of Monnette.

Moments later, they both turned over their cards and Monnette was trailing with the {8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. Bronshtein showed {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-} and spiked an {10-} as the final card.

As Monnette peeled the final card, he added "fifty fifty chance" before he exposed the {6-Spades} to pair his six and exited the tournament area.

What Was Sammartino's Fourth Card?

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Dario Sammartino
Dario Sammartino

Pot-Limit Omaha

Dario Sammartino opened to 8,000 and got three callers in Benny Glaser, Anthony Zinno and Dave Rogers. The flop {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts} checked around. The turn was the {j-Spades}. It checked to Zinno on the button who bet 17,000. Sammartino and Glaser called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds}. Sammartino bet 75,000 into a pot of 87,500. Glaser folded and Zinno tank-folded.

"Yes!!" said Sammartino emphatically as soon as Zinno folded.

"You can't do that and not show," said someone at the table. Sammartino opened {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} but mucked his fourth card.

On the next hand Rogers, Ali Eslami and Sammartino checked to Glaser on {k-Spades}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades} who bet 6,500. Rogers and Sammartino called.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Rogers check-called 17,000 from Glaser. The river was the {q-Diamonds}. Rogers bet 40,000 and Glaser folded. Rogers showed {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for a full house.

Daniel Negreanu on Justin Bonomo: "Indoctrinated & Brainwashed Beyond Repair"

Niveau 8 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Justin Bonomo & Daniel Negreanu
Justin Bonomo & Daniel Negreanu

Daniel Negreanu went off on Justin Bonomo in his Monday WSOP vlog, accusing his high-stakes foe of being a "cheater" and said that he's "totally indoctrinated" by his social justice beliefs.

On Friday, after busting his second bullet in Event #50: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em on a runner-runner bad beat, "DNegs" slammed his phone in frustration on the way out.

Most poker players on social media seemed to understand the frustration considering he's down nearly $1 million for the summer, but Bonomo was highly critical and went so far as to accuse the Poker Hall of Famer of "violence" and that incidents such as this could make others feel unsafe at the table.

Negreanu began his Day 27 World Series of Poker vlog by defending himself against Bonomo's tweets, and he didn't hold back.

"Someone sent me a tweet where Whacko Bonomo said that if he tied his shoes in front of someone that he wouldn't do it, because he's totally indoctrinated and a lost cause," Negreanu said. "The guy is a completely lost cause."
