Men Nguyen
Men Nguyen

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

After Russell Bouffiou limped in middle position, Men Nguyen raised the size of the pot (1,800) from the hijack. Perry Friedman then called from the big blind and Boffiou called as well.

On the {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop, Friedman and Bouffiou checked and Nguyen bet pot (6,000). Friedman folded, but Bouffiou re-potted, then Nguyen potted again to put Bouffiou all in for roughly 28,000. He called to put himself at risk.

Russell Bouffiou: {a-Spades}{7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades}
Men Nguyen: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

Each player had wheel draws, but Nguyen had control of the high half of the pot with his aces.

The turn {10-Clubs} gave Nguyen the potential for a scoop, but the {5-Hearts} on the river gave each player their wheel, chopping up the pot just before break.

Thurber Still In The Hunt

Niveau 9

Limit Omaha 8 or Better

With 8,000 in the middle on a double paired board of {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} Laurette Thurber bet from the small blind.

Their opponent in the cutoff took their time before making the call. Thurber rolled over {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Spades} for jacks full of sevens which prompted the cutoff to throw their hand into the muck.

Kihara Busts an Opponent

Niveau 8

Pot-Limit Omaha 8 or Better

On a flop of {q-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, Naoya Kihara checked out of position to his opponent who bet 2,000. Kihara then check-raised the size of the pot and his opponent moved all in for less.

Opponent: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Naoya Kihara: {8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}

Kihara was ahead for the high with his set of threes versus his opponent's top and bottom pair with a wheel draw.

The turn {10-Spades} and river {k-Hearts}, couldn't bring in a low, and Kihara's set held on for the win.
