Vincas Tamasauskas
Vincas Tamasauskas

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was picked up with around 1,500 in the pot and {4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} on the felt. Vincas Tamasauskas, in the small blind, check raised from 1,000 to 4,200, and received one caller: Ken Aldridge in the big blind.

On the {2-Clubs} turn, Tamasauskas fired for 10,500, and Aldridge snap called. On the {8-Clubs} river, he fired again for 12,500. Aldridge folded face up, showing {j-Spades}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Tamasauskas scooped the pot without a showdown, but did show {k-Spades}{k-} before mucking his hand, as well as saying he had two sets.

Massive pot for Hyman

Niveau 4 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Jared Hyman
Jared Hyman

Pot-Limit Omaha

According to the table, Jared Hyman limped for 400 and got called by the player next to him and the hijack. The cutoff made it to 2,600 and it came back to Hyman who called, followed by the other player before the hijack shoved for 12,600. The cutoff reshoved for 15,400 and both Hyman and the second player called.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{k-Hearts} and Hyman shoved, quickly called by the remaining active player in the hand, who held a higher stack, to create a four-way showdown.

The rest of the board fell the {q-Spades} and the {5-Diamonds} and Hyman quickly tabled the nuts with {k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades} while his opponent showed {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. The first all in player got his cards mucked and the last all in player showed {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{8-Hearts}.

Hyman scored a double knockout and climbed to a big stack worth 162,000.

No-Limit Hold'em

Jeff Madsen raised on the button to 23,000 and Sonny Franco three-bet to 6,200 in the small blind. Madsen took a minute and shoved for a stack around 27,000, which Franco snap-called:

Jeff Madsen: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Sonny Franco: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Madsen didn't find any miracle throughout the board {5-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and made his way to the exit.

Livingston Ahead in Three Way All In

Niveau 9 : Blinds 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Alex Livingston
Alex Livingston

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was picked up with all three players having moved all in preflop, including WSOP Bracelet holder Alex Livingston. With Livingston at risk as the middle stack, they tabled their hands.

Small Stack: {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}
Alex Livingston: {j-Spades}{3-Spades}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}
Big Stack: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The big stack was ahead with his aces for now, and improved to a set on the {a-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Spades} flop, but Livingston had pulled ahead of him with a flush. The {8-Spades} turn and {2-Diamonds} river didn't change much, as Livingston's flush was still best. He scooped the pot, more than doubling his stack, while the short stacked player was eliminated.

Mizrachi Victorious in Three-Way All In

Niveau 12 : Blinds 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante
Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Pot-Limit Omaha

Action was joined with 24,000 in the pot and a board of {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}. The big blind led out with a shove of 24,000. The late position player called, before Michael Mizrachi, from the cutoff, rejammed for 36,500, getting a snap call from late position, who had both players covered.

Big Blind: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{2-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
Michael Mizrachi: {8-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}
Late Position: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

Mizrachi was already out in front with a nine-high straight, but improved to a queen high straight on the {j-Clubs}{q-Spades} runout, more than enough to scoop the pot. In doing so, he more than doubled his own stack while eliminating the big blind.

Ryan Laplante: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Patrick Leonard: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

Laplante was in great shape for the double up, which he did after the board brought {5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Diamonds}.

Negreanu Doubles Again

Niveau 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Pot-Limit Omaha

Just minutes after doubling up once, Daniel Negreanu decided to gamble again with the money bubble fast approaching.

Action was picked up with about 58,000 already in the middle as Negreanu moved all in on the {4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs} flop. He got called by the same player he had doubled through before, who still had him covered.

Daniel Negreanu: {3-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Clubs}
Opponent: {a-Spades}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Negreanu had the nut flush draw, and the {3-Clubs} on the turn completed that draw. The {5-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing, and Negreanu had quadrupled his stack in a single orbit with the bubble fast approaching.

Justin Fawcett

Pot-Limit Omaha

With four simultaneous eliminations with 188 players left for 186 player being in the money, the four players split the first two money prizes.

On one of the elimination hand, Justin Fawcett, who was short stack with 30,000 chips left after Vincent Dale doubled through him a few minutes before, shoved with {k-}{k-}{q-}{q-} and was once again called by Dale who held {a-}{a-}{8-}{7-}.

The board gave {8-}{9-}{j-}{7-}{8-} and Dale's hand held to bust Fawcett from the tournament at the bubble. Dale, who was down to only 3 big blinds a few hands before, is now up to more than 120,000 after a few doubles up in a row.

Million Chip Pot on Final Hand of Night

Niveau 15 : Blinds 3,000/5,000, 5,000 ante
Chips
Chips

Every other table in the field had already bagged their chips and gone home for the night, but action was still happening over on table 94.

There was already over 150,000 in the pot and a board reading {8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. The cutoff had already moved all in and gotten called by the Vincent Lam in late position, and from the big blind. The big blind also jammed, for 427,000 more than the cutoff's, and the action was now on Lam to make the call.

Lam tanked for a few minutes, before telling his opponent "You're pretty good at Hollywooding," and pushing all his chips into the middle, with both of his opponents covered narrowly.

Cutoff: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Big Blind: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Vincent Lam: {j-Spades}{8-Spades}

Lam had the best of it with his pair of eights. The {2-Hearts} river was a safe one for him, and he scooped the massive 1,000,000 chip pot on the last hand of the night, giving him a sizeable chip lead entering Day 2.
