Pringle Silences Byers

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Michael Byers, who showed off his rambunctious personality on Day 1, bet 6,000 on a {7-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} flop before Jeffrey Pringle raised to 12,000.

Byers called as the turn came {4-Spades}. Pringle bet another 15,000 and Byers called to see the {7-Clubs} on the river as Pringle threw out 25,000 this time.

"You got all the sevens. All four of them, don't you?" Byers asked Pringle as he went into the tank.

While Byers was pondering the decision, players began to get up to go on break. "This is going to be the last hand of the level, guys. I promise. I don't know what to do," Byers told his tablemates.

"I don't want to go out so take as much time as you need," Pringle joked.

Byers eventually folded and Pringle showed him two nines for a full house before they joined the rest of the field on break.

Big stack Ayaz Mahmood is also sitting at this table.

Kanchi Hits Two Pair

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Ranganath Kanchi raised to 2,100 from the hijack and received a call from Ibrahim Naim on the button and Umang Dattani in early position. The three saw a flop come down {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} and it was a check round.

On the turn came a {9-Clubs} which Dattani checked. Kanchi bet 4,500 causing Naim to fold and Dattani to reraise to 17,100, getting a call.

The river was a {2-Diamonds} and Dattani check-called Kanchi's 21,000 bet. Kanchi flipped over {7-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and it was good to take down the pot.

Tamon Nakamura
Tamon Nakamura

Tamon Nakamura opened to 1,600 and Gary Thompson called from the big blind.

The flop came {j-Hearts}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Nakamura continued for 1,100. Thompson called.

The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and Nakamura fired once more for 2,500. Thompson called a second time.

On the {10-Clubs} river, Nakamura fired for 16,000, representing the vast majority of Thompson's stack.

Thompson looked bewildered and even chuckled and threw up his arms as if he had no choice but to call, yet did not expect the results to go his way.

Thompson turned over {j-Spades}{3-Clubs} for two pair, beating Nakamura's triple-barrel with {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Jaureguireynoso Takes from Froelich

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

The action was picked up on a board {6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} with around 10,000 in the pot. Jason Froelich, in the small blind seat, checked to Alejandro Jaureguireynoso who bet 6,000. Froelich tanked a minute and raised it to 17,000, which was called by Jaureguireynoso.

The river brought the {j-Clubs} and Jaureguireynoso pushed a pile of 5,000-chip in front of him, putting Froelich at risk. The latter immediately mucked his cards.

Benso Makes Big Call on River

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

On a heads-up turn board of {7-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, Gary Miller bet 12,800 into his opponent, Sergio Benso, who called.

The river was the {q-Spades} and Miller fired again, this time for 38,800, and Benso was unsure of what to do.

After a good minute of counting his chips, talking to himself, shaking his head, and counting again, Benso shrugged and slammed his chips across the line.

MIller then turned over {5-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} with gusto but after closer inspection it was revealed he had a whopping six-high.

"I think you got it man," someone at the table told Benso before he tabled {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for a rivered queen, although he was ahead the entire way. Miller did not look too pleased as he was left with less than the starting stack and Benso chipped up to 290,000.

The {6-Hearts} paired the turn, Depiera quickly checked and Antonius put out a bet of 4,000 which was enough to take down the pot.

Kevin Martin

Canadian poker streamer and Big Brother contestant Kevin Martin called a 3,600 raise from Roman Pumpernick before the flop as the dealer turned over {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}.

Martin, in the big blind, checked over to Pumpernick in the cutoff who bet 5,000. Martin then moved all in for his last 27,800. Pumpernick asked for a count before calling.

Martin showed {k-Spades}{j-Spades} for top pair, but Pumpernick had him out-kicked with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}. The turn and river came {7-Hearts}{3-Spades} and Martin wished the table luck before heading for the exit.

Dimartino Lets Cowboys Go

Niveau 6 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante

Todd Dimartino opened to 1,800 from the cutoff and was called by the big blind.

Both players checked through the {a-Hearts}{6-Spades}{j-Hearts} flop to the {10-Clubs} turn where the big blind led out for 1,500. Dimartino made the call to send the two players to the river.

The big blind did not slow down after the {5-Diamonds} river, sizing up a large bet that was met with an instant fold from a somewhat disgusted Dimartino, who flashed {k-}{k-} as he tossed his hand away.
