Niveau 15 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Jonathan Jaffe raised to 125,000 in the cutoff and Kristen Foxen flat-called on the button. They went heads-up to a flop of KJ9 and Jaffe started with a check. Foxen tossed in a bet of 120,000 and Jaffe called.

The turn was the 8 and Jaffe check-called another bet of 325,000 from Foxen. The A completed the board and both players tapped the table. Jaffe showed Q9 for a pair of nines but Foxen held K9 for two pair to scoop the pot.

Ausmus Powers Up on River

Niveau 15 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Brian Rast raised 120,000 under the gun and received calls from Jeremy Ausmus in late position and Talal Shakerchi in the big blind.

The dealer placed 2A8 on the board, which Shakerchi checked. Rast then bet 160,000, which resulted in Ausmus calling and Shakerchi folding.

The 2 showed up on the turn to pair the board and action slowed down as both players checked. The 6 appeared on the river and Rast checked a second consecutive street.

Ausmus then bet 400,000, a move that saw Rast immediately fold his hand.

Bonomo Tangles with Heath in the Blinds

Niveau 15 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

The action folded around to Justin Bonomo in the small blind who shipped all in. Ben Heath looked down at a premium in the big blind and instantly called off his stack of 600,000 chips.

Ben Heath: JJ
Justin Bonomo: 76

The flop fell QJ10 to give Heath a set of jacks but Bonomo picked up a flush draw. The 10 paired the board on the turn to give Heath a full house, making Bonomo's flush on the K river irrelevant.

Niveau 15 : Blinds 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter was down to just 55,000 chips at one point but managed to turn that 55,000 into 260,000 chips. The action folded to Winter on the button who shoved all in and Brandon Steven called from the big blind.

Sean Winter: KK
Brandon Steven: QJ

The flop came 1086 and Winter was ahead but not out of the woods yet. The K hit the turn, giving Steven plenty of outs. However, the 4 on the river bricked out, leaving Steven with just 20,000 chips and he would bust on the next hand.

Leon Sturm was one of the late entries on Day 2 after capturing his first WSOP gold bracelet in Event #23: $50,000 High Roller. He was hovering around a starting stack for the first two levels today but after facing a raise from Andrew Robl, Sturm shipped all in for 600,000 in the big blind. Robl quickly called and the cards were face up.

Leon Sturm: A10
Andrew Robl: AQ

Robl was in a dominating position and the flop of 632 left it that way. The K on the turn and the 2 on the river were no help to Sturm who was bounced to the rail.
