Jaffe Takes Down Palihapitiya

Niveau 14 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jonathan Jaffe raised in late position, and Jake Schindler called.

Chamath Palihapitiya then moved all in with 345,000 out of the big blind, getting calls from Jaffe and Schindler, both of whom had Palihapitiya covered.

The dealer placed 910K on the board, which Schindler checked. Jaffe then bet 75,000, which drew an immediate fold from Schindler. The cards were then tabled.

Chamath Palihapitiya: A4
Jonathan Jaffe: K10

Jaffe flopped two pair, and the 2 on the turn had Palihapitiya drawing dead. The 10 on the river was a formality, but it gave Jaffe a full house to send Palihapitiya to the rail.

After being down to 160,000 in the first level of Day 2, Jaffe has turned it around.

Dan Smith
Dan Smith

Dan Smith just lost a healthy pot to Cary Katz and was then forced to pay the big blind. The action folded to Yang Wang on the button who shoved all in with two small stacks in the blinds. Smith peeled his cards and then quickly called off his stack of just under 600,000.

Dan Smith: AK
Yang Wang: A2

The flop came J43 and Wang picked up extra outs with a straight draw. The 9 on the turn changed nothing but the 5 on the river gave Wang a straight to eliminate Smith.
