Welcome to Day 3 of Event #47: $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. here at the Horseshoe and Paris Las Vegas home of the World Series of Poker. Yuri Dzivielevski enters Day 3 with a solid chip lead over the remaining 28 players after bagging 2,020,000 last night.
His next closest competitor is Stephen Savoy (1,345,000) followed closely by poker philanthropist Gershon Distenfeld (1,300,000), who has pledged to donate all his earnings to charity, including 10 percent to The Charity Series of Poker (CSOP).
The rest of field is rife with poker talent, however, ensuring that any path to the gold bracelet will come with plenty of challenges. Irvin showed A♥A♦10♣2♠ to take the high, while Epstein took the low with A♠J♦5♥4♠.

Shannon Westbrook limped from under the gun and action folded to Yuri Dzivielevski in the cutoff, who raised. Thor William Morstoel then made it three bets to go from the big blind and Westbrook called cold. Dzivielevski called as well.
The flop came 6♠K♥Q♦ and Morstoel continued for a bet. Westbrook folded and Dzivielevski called.
Morsteol kept firing on the 6♦ turn and this time Dzivielevski folded — conceding the pot to Morstoel.

Action was joined on the 4♥3♥Q♥ flop. Gershon Distenfeld checked from the big blind. Stephen Savoy bet from the hijack, and was called by Jose Latorraca from the button. Distenfeld folded.

Jose Latorraca: A♥J♦10♣2♥

Shannon Westbrook: 8♣5♥/8♠10♥J♠5♠/10♠
Thor William Morstoel: A♣J♥/K♦Q♦4♦2♣/9♥
Morstoel completed. Westbrook raised all in, and Morstoel called.
Morstoel had Westbrook at risk, and Westbrook noted that a ten would eliminate him. Morstoel turned over the 9♥, though, giving the pot to his opponent. Westbrook, whose final card was the 10♠, laughed at possessing his potential elimination card as he pulled in the pot.
