Day 1b of Event #20: $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em MILLIONAIRE MAKER is done. Today there were 4,323 entries, which makes the total amount of entries for this event 7,761. The day wrapped up with 678 players who will return for Day 2 tomorrow, together with the survivors from Day 1a.

The end-of-day chip leader is Brian Altman (227,800), but he has other big stacks behind him, including Billy Graybeal (209,200), Scott Skirba (207,500), Adam White (182,000), David Peters (173,200), Dustin Fox (168,600), and Kenny Hallaert (148,500). Recent bracelet winners David Pham (68,500) and John Racener (32,100) have also gone through to tomorrow.

More notable names that will be returning for Day 2 include Antonio Esfandiari (73,900), Joe Elpayaa (91,800), Dan O’Brien (65,300), Ravi Raghavan (108,000), Tristan Wade (19,400), Darryll Fish (63,600), Jeff Gross (9,000), Dutch Boyd (68,500), Johanssy Joseph (62,000), Matt Waxman (46,600), and Jake Bazeley (108,600).

They and the rest of the players will all be competing for a total prize pool of $10,477,350, and a min-cash tomorrow will earn a player $2,249. Everyone will be gunning for that first prize of $1,221,407 and the gold WSOP bracelet, though.

The final 1,187 players will come together tomorrow for Day 2 starting at 11 a.m. As only 1,165 of them will finish in the money, the bubble will probably burst soon after play has started, so make sure to keep your eyes on PokerNews.

Kenny Hallaert Knocks a Player Out

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Kenny Hallaert
Kenny Hallaert

We got to the table to see 2016 November Niner Kenny Hallaert sitting in the hijack, betting 1,200 after the player in the big blind had checked on the {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. His opponent took some time to think after Hallaert's bet and decided to raise to 3,200. Hallaert called.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, Hallaert's opponent bet 3,600, and Hallaert called.

The {K-Diamonds} on the river completed the board, and the other player bet 5,500, Hallaert went all in and had his opponent covered. His opponent called and showed {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades} for kings and nines, but Hallaert had him beat as he showed {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} for a full house.

Molly Mossey Eliminated

Niveau 8 : 300/600, 75 ante
Molly Anne Mossey
Molly Anne Mossey

Shortly after losing an 80,000-chip pot with ace-king versus pocket queens on a flop of {A-}{K-}{Q-}, Molly Mossey was down around 12,000 chips.

A player in late position min-raised, and Mossey went all in from the small blind. The big blind folded, and the initial raiser tank-called, putting Mossey at risk.

Mossey: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{J-Spades}

The flop was {A-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades}, giving her opponent a pair of aces to take the lead. The {7-Hearts} turn gave Mossey a gutshot straight draw, but she couldn't get there on the blank river, and she was eliminated here in Level 8.

Liv Boeree Sends One to the Rail

Niveau 5 : 150/300, 50 ante
Liv Boeree

The player under the gun moved all in for 4,550 and Liv Boeree called in the big blind to put him at risk.

Boeree: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
All-in player: {A-Spades}{K-Spades}

Boeree was behind but the {J-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts} gave Boeree a pair of jacks with the flush draw to take the lead. The {8-Clubs} turn and the {5-Spades} river changed nothing and Boeree knocked out her opponent.

Boeree, who won her first WSOP bracelet in the $10,000 Tag Team Event this series, is now close to double the starting stack.

Kelly Minkin Puts Opponent to the Test

Niveau 4 : 100/200, 25 ante
Kelly Minkin

With the board reading {Q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, Kelly Minkin checked in the big blind and her lone opponent in middle position bet 700. Minkin called and the turn was the {5-Spades}. Minkin checked again and her opponent bet 2,000. She called again.

On the {9-Spades} river, Minkin bet 6,000, enough to put her opponent to an all-in decision as he had just over 5,000. Her opponent went into the tank and, after more than three minutes, he mucked.

Tablemate Josh Turner said, "You should have called. You could have been famous."

Minkin disagreed. "No, they would have written 'so and so eliminated'..."

She is now up close to three times the starting stack.

The turn was the {5-Spades} and Baldwin bet 700. His opponent called again and the river was the {A-Hearts}. Both players checked and they showed down.

Baldwin: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Button: {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}
