Immediately after losing most of his stack to Frederick Ginther, John Racener got his remaining 3,000 chips in from middle position. The cutoff called, Ginther called on the button, and the small blind three-bet to 18,000. The big blind folded and so did the cutoff and Ginther, and it was heads up.

The flop gave Racener a pair of sevens. The turn provided some straight outs for Racener, and the river gave him trips to win the pot and more than quadruple up.
Angel Fernandez raised to 8,500 under the gun and William Haggerty went all in for 41,500 from the big blind. Fernandez thought for more than a minute and then called to put Haggerty at risk.
Haggerty:
Fernandez:
Haggerty's queens had a commanding lead, but the flop came , giving Fernandez a flush. It also gave Haggerty a set of queens, but he couldn't catch up on the turn or the river, and Haggerty was eliminated.
"I knew when you called I was dead," Haggerty said after the hand. "Never mess with the guy with chips," he added, and made his exit.
Ray Qartomy just doubled up. He recounted the hand as follows.
His opponent raised to 12,000 under the gun and Qartomy three-bet to 26,000 on the button. The blinds folded and his opponent called. The flop came and his opponent checked. Qartomy bet and his opponent check-shoved all in, putting Qartomy to a decision for his remaining stack of around 130,000.
Qartomy quickly called and was ahead with for top pair with a king kicker. His opponent was open-ended with and the board ran out with two bricks. Qartomy took the pot which put him over the 300,000-chip mark.
