Only 57 players remain in Event #7: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball. There were 225 players to start Day 1 which created a total prize pool of $562,500 and a first-place prize of $130,948. Players are just 23 places away from the money with 34 spots being paid, so the money bubble is likely to burst very quickly in the first few levels of the day.
Leading the pack at the end of Day 1 was Sampo Ryynanen who bagged up 102,000. But following close behind are several notable players and bracelet winners. Jason Mercier (36,000), Paul Volpe (46,000), Barry Greenstein (30,200), Lyle Berman (54,400), Ian Johns (70,700), and Brandon Shack-Harris (68,800) are all looking to add to their multiple bracelet collections.
Rounding out the top five stacks at the end of the day was Wes Self (97,000), Jared Bleznick (91,300), Joseph Wagganer (85,300), and James Kwon (81,400).

Paul Volpe raised. From the big blind, Renan Bruschi was forced all in.
Volpe drew one while Brushci took three. On the second draw, both players took one. Bruschi made a mistake and turned his hand up, thinking the drawing was already over and announced, "Ten." He showed for a ten low. Volpe saw the hand, then the dealer continued with the action.
"Pat," Bruschi said.
"No," Volpe said. "Don't pat." But Bruschi had already made his decision. Volpe stood pat too. He showed for a nine-seven low and that was good for the win, eliminating Bruschi from the tournament.

On the third draw, Guo stood pat while Baker took one. Both players then checked.

Brandon Shack-Harris opened from the button and Joseph Wagganer defended from the big blind. Wagganer drew three and Shack-Harris stood pat.
Wagganer check-called a bet from Shack-Harris and drew two while Shack-Harris stood pat again.
Wagganer checked once more and Shack-Harris bet again. Wagganer called and drew one and Shack-Harris stood pat for the third time.
This time Wagganer led out with a bet which Shack-Harris called and Wagganer announced, "One pair," and showed two sixes. Shack-Harris showed for a seven low and took down the pot.
