John Hesp was in late position and raised to 250,000. Kenny Hallaert was on the button and called.

The flop was {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{8-Spades} and both players checked to the turn which was the {k-Clubs}. Hesp led for 300,000 and Hallaert called.

The river was the {a-Diamonds} and Hesp checked. Hallaert reached back and fired out a bet of 600,000. Hesp immediately moved all in, having Hallaert's remaining 1,100,000 covered, which sent last year's final tablist squirming. Hallaert began to question and size up Hesp. He said, "I have a really strong hand right now." After a lot of debate and a few minutes, Hallaert called.

Hesp: {8-Hearts}{8-Clubs}
Hallaert: {a-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Hesp had flopped a set and rivered a full house which beat Hallaert's trip aces. Hallaert won't make it to back-to-back final tables but he does take home over $100,000 dollars and has another deep Main Event run to add to his resume.
