Feng Wang Warned Then Busts

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

There was a limp for 300 from early position and then Jeffrey Saunders raised to 1,350. Action then got to Feng Wang in the big blind who held up the five fingers on his left hand and threw in a T$5,000 chip.

The dealer took it as a raise, but as nothing verbal was declared, a few other players wanted the floor called to clarify. The floor arrived and ruled it a raise but warned Wang that he must verbalize any future raises.

The limper folded and Saunders took his time before raising to 18,000. Wang then studied his opponent for a minute or so before declaring he was all in and Saunders quickly called.

“He’s got aces,” some of the other players told Wang.

Saunders: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Wang: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The board ran out {q-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}.

In a dramatic runout, Wang flopped a set, the turn brought flush chop outs, but the river delivered top set for Saunders who couldn’t help but give a little triumphant yell of relief.

There's no need for Wang to verbalise any future bets as he has been eliminated.

Gorodinsky Caught Making a Move

Niveau 3 : 150/300, 25 ante

On a {8-Spades}{a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board and about 5,000 in the middle, Mike Gorodinsky bet 5,050 from the cutoff and his opponent check-called out of the small blind. The {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river and the player in the small blind took the betting lead, sliding just 2,500 forward. Gorodinsky smiled and slid his cards into the muck.

Carrel Down a Chunk

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Charlie Carrel was in the big blind and check-called 800 from a player on the button on a {k-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{k-Hearts} flop. He came out betting with 1,400 on the {5-Spades} turn, and his opponent called. Carrel fired 3,900 on the {9-Diamonds} river.

"How much is it?" the player on the button said.

"Enough to get paid off by a ten," Carrel said after the dealer spread the bet.

His opponent thought for about a minute.

"Let me know if you're thinking about raising," Carrel said with a smile.

Instead, his opponent folded, and Carrel swept up the pot. Despite the win, he's down significantly from his earlier stack of around 90,000.

Full House for Tony Gregg

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Tony Gregg raised to 700 from the button and the small blind called. The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}{2-Spades} and both players checked. The turn was the {a-Hearts} and the small blind checked again. Gregg bet 1,200 and his opponent called.

The river landed the {2-Hearts} and the small blind checked for the third time. Gregg bet 3,000 and his opponent made the call. Gregg tabled {a-Clubs}{7-Spades} for a full house and his opponent mucked his cards.

Pipe Dreams

Niveau 2 : 150/300, 0 ante

Chris DeMaci checked and called 1,100 out of the big blind against a late-position opponent on an {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop. Both players checked when a low card hit the turn and a {10-Spades} hit the river. DeMaci's opponent revealed {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} but DeMaci hit a better pair with {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, winning despite missing his combo draw.

"I had all these pipe dreams about him having aces..." DeMaci said.
