Polk Snap Releases

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Ronnie Brown limped in from early position and the action folded to Doug Polk in the small blind and he raised to 2,000.

The big blind folded, but Brown called as the dealer spread a {5-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{7-Spades} flop.

Polk continued for 2,200, and Brown eyed the board for a moment before raising to 7,200.

As soon as Brown's bet touched the felt, Polk snap sent his cards to the muck while dropping to just under 70,000 as Brown closes in on 200,000 in chips.

Patrick Leonard
Patrick Leonard

Table 602 in Miranda contains a mix of new and old school players in Mark Zullo, Patrick Leonard, Jett Schencker, Billy Baxter and Tom McEvoy. Add to that NHL player Simon Despres and action is guaranteed.

Zullo doubled up early on and Baxter also chipped up. In the most recent hand, Patrick Leonard raised to 1,500 and Bellavanca three-bet to 4,000 from the button. Leonard four-bet to 15,600 from the hijack and Bellavanca gave it some thought, grabbed calling chips and ultimately ended up folding.

With about 4,000 chips in the pot and the completed board reading {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{3-Spades}, the blinds were heads-up. The small blind checked to Faraz Jaka in the big and he bet 7,000. After brief consideration, the small blind called, and Jaka tabled {J-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}, having rivered two pair. The small blind mucked and Jaka took the chips.

Grayson Ramage Chipping Up

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

The player under the gun raised, Grayson Ramage three-bet to 4,000 from the next seat over, the initial raiser four-bet to 10,500, and Ramage called.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} and the under-the-gun player bet 8,500. Ramage called to see the {8-Hearts} turn where his opponent bet 13,500. Ramage called again, the {10-Spades} river completed the board, and his opponent bet 21,000. Ramage called instantly.

The under-the-gun player mucked his hand, and Ramage took down the pot without showing.

"Well, That Was Quick"

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Joining the action on the three-way flop of {7-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}, Patrick Oakes and Tina Jones both checked. Michael Rossitto bet and faced the check-raise all in of Oakes. Jones folded and Rossitto quickly called.

"Shit," Oakes said as soon as the cards were tabled. His {8-Hearts}{8-Spades} was trailing the {A-Clubs}{A-Spades} of Rossitto and the {6-Clubs} turn and {K-Diamonds} river both blanked. "Well, that was quick," Oakes said on his way out. He was joined on the rail by Vince Saiki, who busted on a different table.

Astedt Flushed to the Rail

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

With the board reading {8-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{10-Spades} and roughly 45,000 in the middle, Forouzan Sotoudeh moved all in for 29,700.

Niklas Astedt went into the tank for a little before eventually calling all in for his last 29,000.

Sotoudeh: {5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Astedt: {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

With Astedt covered by just over a big blind, he would need the board to pair to stay alive.

Unfortunately for the Swede, the river landed the {6-Diamonds}, and he headed to the rail as Sotoudeh moved to over 100,000 in chips.

Jordan Young Doubles Up to Start Day 2

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Jordan Young came into the day as one of the shorter stacks but was hoping for different fortunes on Day 2. Young was under-the-gun and moved all-in for his remaining 9,000 chips and was called by an opponent in middle position.

Young: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}
Opponent: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The board ran out {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and Young safely doubled up to over 30 big blinds now.

Vitch Takes Out Cukier

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Paul Cukier raised to 1,400 from the button and Chris Vitch called from the big blind.

They checked to the turn of a {Q-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{4-Hearts} board where Vitch bet 2,000. Cukier raised all in for 12,600 and Vitch called.

Cukier: {A-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Vitch: {Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

Vitch led with two pair, although Cukier had a lot of outs to survive.

The {A-Diamonds} river completed the board, not enough to help to Cukier, scoring the elimination for Vitch.

Kurshumi KO'd by Shea's Full House

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

Catching the action with the board reading {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and roughly 24,900 in the middle, Daniel Shea checked over to Ardit Kurshumi.

Kurshumi bet out 7,300, and when the action returned to Shea, he slid out a stack of orange 5,000-denomination chips amounting to a bet of roughly 75,000; enough to put Kurshumi all in.

Kurshumi went deep into the tank for several minutes before eventually calling off his remaining 22,500 and tabling {A-Spades}{K-Spades} for two pair.

Shea however would reveal his {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for a full house, and Kurshumi headed to the exit as Shea motored his stack to roughly 147,000 in chips.
