Pavilion Green First to Break

Niveau 6 : 300/600, 100 ante

The higher numbers in the Pavilion green section are the first to break, and among those seated over there are Francois Evard, Max Silver, Kevin Martin, Pascal Hartmann and Georgios Sotiropoulos. This section will break from low to high and Bruno Politano was moved to a new table in the same section right away.

One table over from Silver, Colin Kim defended his big blind and flopped two pair with {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} on {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}{5-Hearts} when the chips went in against Craig Cockburn. The latter held {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and the {9-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river blanked to leave Cockburn with some spare change.

A player in early position limped before Josh Brikis raised to 2,700 from middle position. Daniel Negreanu called in late position, as did the original limper.

The flop came {2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. It checked to Brikis who continued for 2,700. Negreanu called and the limper folded.

The turn was the {q-Clubs} and Brikis checked to Negreanu who bet 3,700. Brikis called.

The river was the {3-Diamonds} and Brikis bet 25,000, enough to put Negreanu, who only had 13,200, all in.

"This is an interesting one guys," said Negreanu, "I hit my best card but I think I might be out.

"Why did I have to hit! Gotta figure out if you have any bluffs here. I just don't think I'm there to just throw this in.

"Sorry guys, it's a big one. I got a big hand," he continued. "You're not bluffing right?"

Eventually he called and slammed {5-Clubs}{6-Clubs} decisively down on the table and watched as Brikis slid his hole cards into the muck and Negreanu secured an early double up.
