Mohler Takes One With Trips

Niveau 22 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Thomas Mohler and Samuel Vonkennel went heads up to a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Vonkennel bet out 32,000, Mohler called, and the {7-Hearts} hit the turn. Vonkennel slowed down with a check, and Mohler fired out 40,000. Vonkennel quickly called, and the {9-Diamonds} hit the river. Vonkennel checked again, Mohler fired out 50,000, and Vonkennel again quickly called.

He would quickly muck his hand though, as Mohler rolled over {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} for trip tens. Mohler jumped up to 580,000 after that hand, while Vonkennel is getting short with 150,000.

Russo Hits Runner-Runner on Todd

Niveau 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

After a raise of 28,000 from Eugene Todd, Stephen Russo moved all in for his final 147,000. It folded back around to Todd, who didn't take very long to make the call.

Russo: {A-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Todd: {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}

Russo was in rough shape, and he started to get up out of his chair right away. The flop of {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} gave Russo some backdoor straight and flush outs, and the {4-Diamonds} on the turn was one of the best cards he could have seen. An ace, three, or diamond would work for Russo now, and the {Q-Diamonds} hit the river to give him the nut flush and the double-up.
